that is the offer that scares me... i really don't want to give up Fields, he's so versatile & i can picture him doing well playing with just about anyone... giving up Gallo & AR would be the obvious choice if we had to pick 2 out of the 4 at this point... even still, when u consider the fact that we'd be able to retain both Wilson & AR & adding Melo to this roster, i think it's a deal u can't pass up on... the entire argument against Melo is that no one wants to gut the entire roster to obtain him... well giving up 2 of the 4 young guys we have would not entail gutting the roster & you'd be adding a top 3 scorer in the NBA... that's too good to pass up on IMHO.

i go back and forth... but i love fields and i can see him making huge plays in the playoffs over and over.

i think that denver will ask for gallo, fields and a #1 pick (which we'll need to trade AR to get) + curry's deal.

it's a tough pill to swallow. that's why i think it's what they'll ask for.

I don't know. If i'm DW I think hey i'm giving you cap relief a Pick, plus Gallo, why do I need to throw in a near ROY too? Who else are they gonna deal with at this point? We all know that we can just stand pat and get Melo. I think they give up Walker rather than let Fields go. Fields is one of those glue guys that every good team needs. Those guys are hard to find. I don't know. Seems like it's time to play hardball.

we offer azubuike (medical insurance covers 80%) for jr smith to sweeten the pot financially and make karl happier, i suppose. but man do i hate jr smith.

just saying it would pretty much be a Gallo & Fields trade for Melo... ur also getting Birdman to replace AR, who's currently giving us nothing anyway... i would have a hard time passing up that trade if they offered it.

i don't think there's any way DW passes up on a deal like that... it would address every one of our needs at this point except for a backup PG, & would allow us to retain Wilson C this summer as a RFA.

birdman can jump freakishly high to block a shot, but i dunno would he get along with mda? would jr smith get along with mda??

plus we give up fields who is becoming my favorite knick cries. i dunno. man i hope those mayo rumors are true.
