I'm not sure if Felton was just milking it cause Amare was dominating the Nets frontcourt or if he's starting to get tunnel vision like we had with Duhon-Lee. Chandler and Gallo were both frozen out and just watching the action. Makes me think that one of them should come off the bench. Gallo probably fits the starting lineup better with his 3-pt shooting, and Chandler is more athletic to run with Douglas and Randolph. Walker hasn't missed a beat from beyond the arc, and he might deserve a look as our starting 2 (although his defense is nonexistant)

I am not worried about it. Those 2 have GOT to jell and I say give them all the plays and time together for as much of the preseason as they want. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither were the Knicks.

But it dont mean that Gallo and Chandler can just wait and watch, cause the more they do the more Donnie will get the urge to wake up from his nap and trade for Melo.

They are starting to gel. Imagin what it could have been with LeCon. He will regret to day he turned down the Knicks

Andrew and I were talking about that the other day.

Image this lineup: Moz, Amare, LeBron , Chandler, TD with James doing all of the PG duties and PnR'ing with Amare. In this scenario perhaps you trade away Gallo or Chandler for cap space to sign Moz, but you still have Fields, Rautins, Walker, Barrons and another PG to sign off the bench. Tough team.

UNSTOPPABLE. I think LeBron truly made a career mistake.

I have to believe Papabear was being very tongue-in-cheek with that post.

Forbes had a story saying that if Lebron really wanted to be a Billionaire NY was only place
for him to do it....

Said something Like Tiger Woods times 10 in endorsements if Lebron could win in NY

Yet he chose to be Wade's bitch!!.... Fcuk Lebron!!

Devin Harris was pretty much a fat zero in the game, wasn't he? I barely even recall seeing him play.

Even though we gave a up a lot of points it sure FELT like the team was working their balls off on the defensive end. Felton and Douglas were causing havoc, shots in the paint were contested and overall the defensive intensity seemed very high (especially since it's a preseason game). We just need to rebound.

Meanwhile...

Douglas is an opposing point guard's nightmare.

Felton looked a LOT better. His open court pass to Amare for the dunk was gorgeous.

Speaking of Amare: wow. Dominant. So nice to have that presence now. He got to the line all night and rebounded.

Moz was quiet but I can't get over how hard the kid plays. He's still learning the nuances of the NBA game but he is constantly working on both ends of the floor.

Randolph looked better, too. Didn't play out of control and gave a nice push off the bench.

It's hard to see a scenario where Mason gets burn over Bill Walker (or Fields for that matter).

Gallo and Wil really need to have a fire lit under their kiesters.

TD is a straight up player. 6 steals? 6????

And he's not what Nate could be, because Nate is 5'8 and TD is 6'2 with a 6'6 wingspan. Certainly small for a SG but not for PG and he's stronger than a pit bull.

When we were talking line ups over the last month I liked TD coming off the bench, but getting starter minutes. Something like 30-35 minutes a night. Say 12 mpg at PG and another 20 playing along side Felton.

Also Douglas's speed isnt just perceived, its actual. Douglas's combine scores for 3/4 court sprint and agility are among the fastest recorded. He's built like a tank.

He's also got a clutch head on his shoulders. You see him play and you know this is a guy who is going to play stiffling defense and hit shots and his FTs in crunch time.

I wont lie.. he's probably my favorite player on the Knicks since last year. He's a throwback Knick of the Derrick Harper John Starks

Look people TD is a straight up cold blooded. Trade him at your peril. This man has the potential to be one of the top defending guards in the NBA...if he isn't already.

yeah, i agree completely. except, i'd say he should play next to Felton even more often.

the way he wanted that last shot - the 3-pointer when the nets had cut their lead to 1 with about 45 seconds to go... he's cold-blooded and wants the ball in big spots.

love that kid.

I love Douglas like the next guy and I see Felton improving as well, but I'm not sold on that backcourt working for extended minutes just because of the length. What I'd LOVE to see is a lineup featuring Douglas or Felton, Fields (Why didn't he play last night?) and Chandler to go with Amar'e and Randolph (If his head is right.) That can do damage.

Enough Toney love!

Toney Douglas must have gone to the Nate Robinson school of playmaking. I thought he'd become a better passer, better at getting teammates involved. With Felton here it's obvious the Knick mgmt believes TD can never be the guy who runs the offense.

So i see TD being traded for a #1.

He needs to do better on the boards no doubt, but he played a good game regardless. Good defense and very controlled. He made the right passes, right cuts, shot a little better from the field and made good decisions. Instead of barreling into double teams all hellbent, he stopped and hit the open man. Again, another nice step foward.

Again, I ask.... Why didn't Fields play last night?????

If Anthony Randolph doesn't get at least 6 rpg and 1 bpg, it's not a good game.

I have been thinking a lot about TD and comparisons. As fans would do occasionally He actually reminds me a lot of a bigger and stronger Mookie Blaylock.

I was concentrating on AR and Timo last night and their forays in rebounding. Both those guys box out pretty well. They seal off their man and let their teammates collect the rebound. Happened a lot when they were with Amare and Amare snatched up the rebound. Rebound totals does not tell the whole truth.

Apparently he was just executing the coaches game plan.. http://video.msg.com/Home/Knicks-Postgame-Win-Over-Nets-10-19

I don't think there will be a problem unless somebody wants to make a problem, ... If they really want to make a problem, they're going to have to make a decision about how they want to spend their adult life in terms of playing in the NBA or not.
