Note to Madison Square Garden PA Announcer

Take note of the accurate (non stereotypical) pronounciation of Danilo Gallinari by the Italian announcer

Leave the silly theatrics for game show hosts

Post-Game Interview

Tina Cervasio: "What was this day like?"
Danilo Gallinari: "...No nap during the day. I always take nap during the day."

LOL I found this part of his response really funny

love this guy

Timofey Mozgov is the perfect type of Center next to Amar'e Stoudemire. I fully expect him in that role soon. And STAT is just a beast. Easily the BEST offensive frontcourt player in the entire league!

Yeah, I was pretty pissed when I saw that earlier in the game and TD almost got rocked.

No excuse for a lack of communication. AR didn't really have good decision making out there today but he's 21, so let's see how he learns from these mistakes as I'm sure there will be some growing pains.

Amare, Gallo, and Mosgov were each impressive as hell.

Chandler also had a very strong 2nd half, definitely deserves some props.

It felt so weird watching our bigs alter and attempt to block shots! Big difference from David Lee getting out the way everytime a guard came in for a layup. If this team doesn't imporve defensively by a lot, it's all on Mike D'Antoni. We got all the pieces to be a good defensive team.

Chandler looked great---you have to be kidding me if anyone wants Mason Jr or anyone else to start 2 guard. This is a GOOD team--you have to be ready to stand pat when you think you have a good thing. I really like the blend of players from starters to back ups. We have a legit 25 pt frontcourt big man and many of the pieces that go around him.

Chandler also showed a couple of nice of the dribble moves. He had one nice move for a pull up J that looked natural. I'd like to see Bill Walker take it the hoop more. MAse has one of the most awkward Js I've ever seen.

think about this--some people said they would do Chandler Gallo and Randolph for Melo--are you kidding me? I think Gallo is our 20-22 pt scoring SF--I wouldnt trade Gallo for Melo straight up---we have a dominant player in STAT--it would f u team chemistry that we will build. Turn down the TO's which will happen when you have a bunch of new guys and more concentration on D--were going to be very good.

I am also impressed at D'Antoni's usage of an 11-man rotation, as he said he would try. Everyone got over double-digits in minutes! (though this was attainable because of the lead in score and the insignificance of a pre-season game).

I'm hoping D'Antoni whittles this down to a solid 10-man rotation during the reg. season, so that we can continue to run'n'gun without over exhausting our key players.
Imo, Landry Fields is in that 10-man rotation just to offer him a chance to blossom, and Walker/Mason fight it out for the 10th slot.

Once Azubuike returns though, it should then become a 3-way dogfight between Fields/Walker/Mason for the 10th spot.

I also liked the backcourt tandem of Toney Douglas + Raymond Felton. High-energy, defensive guards. So many lineup combinations with our Knicks this year. Sick.

I think we can do a lot of things. This will be the type of team that can beat a Miami in years to come. I don't know what will happen this year--we will be very good but there are some loaded experienced teams that might have more juice. But I think after this year--we will be legit title contenders for years.

All I know is this team has tremendous potential on both sides of the ball. Mozgov is definitely the goods -- esp. his jumpshot. All that was getting played up was his speed/agility for a guy that big, his pick and roll play, etc..Those are all definitely pluses but so is his shooting touch...I don't ever wanna see this dude pass up a mid-range jumper. EVER!! His shooting touch is also a standout skill and you saw it in all his youtube clips if you looked carefully (esp. in clips of him taking FTs). No reason in the world this guy shouldn't be a VERY EFFECTIVE mid-range jumpshooter as well as a guy that eventually converts better than 80% at the line in his sleep. Again, phenomenal find by Donnie.

Gotta cut down the turnovers and sloppy play obviously but this was a great 1st step today...Very impressed.

Great game...... Amare is just a stud ..... Hands down much better then Lee

Gallo had jitters yet still played just about how I expect him to play all year and progressively
getting better as season progresses. Loved how he was everywhere and we def outplayed other team while Gallo
was on the floor.

Mozgov just like every report I have read was by far best and BIGGEST suprise. I see a fast and Athlectic 7'1
beast in the making with this kid. I know its just one game but he is quite impressive.. His passing shocked me
more then anything.... He sees over everyone and throws a p up court off the rebound. Even in half court he passes
well . Seen a few in traffic passes that got through and was shocked to see on top of all his skills and assets
that i had seen and read about passing was rarely mentioned but for sure he can pass quite well.. D's up well
and can really open Amare up in the post.

I was equally impressed yet much less shocked with Wilson Chandler ..... Constant 15 point scorer as 3rd or fourth
option.... That has to be a rare commodity no?..... Not worth a 1st round pick? Come the fcuk on!! Chandler at 23 is
a proven player who really is almost impossible to guard and plays good D ... Very under rated player!!

Randolph look half lost Half Stud...... You can see his talent but hate the fact he doesnt pass at all.... Hope he
doesnt have Al Harrigton disease. Def plays much better D then Al so I'm excited bout that.... Walker and Douglas
looked all around good for their roles.....

Felton now to me looked like our biggest weakness ...... Very Duhon like performance which makes me throw up in my mouth
just saying it.....

I say package Douglas and Walker and get RUbio now...... Felton might not be man for the job ..... Where is all
this athleticism I hear about?..... Running? ... He seemed slow and like a bad ballhandler.... D was off too!!

I know its one game but i feel we need a PG more then we need Melo..... Rubio or maybe Mayo would be my way to
go..... Douglas and Walker some cash and a second rounder should get us one of them!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!
