Hey guys, with the current team, if thyey stay healthy, we can really go up inthe standings...

We're only FIVE GAMES behind NJ for the division lead with 40 games to go!!!! Everything's possible, but a #2 seed in the East is my objective for this team.

Van Horn was the Player of the Game. But too much of their offense is dependent on outside shots. They need someone with a post up game.

good point. Do you think KVH is a good enough post player?

Not on a consistent basis.
no, kvh plays perimeter. post play includes hooks and post up, back to the basket plays. not many nba guys do that ever anymore

Solid win tonight in a back to back game on the road, which is difficult for any team in the NBA against any team in the NBA, even the Bulls. A couple of times Lenny called some nice timeouts and the D adjusted.

But still, this game would not have been won had KVH not taken over down the stretch as he did. So much for the knock about how he dissapears in the fourth. He did a nice job tonight despite having a poor start. He kept with it and finished strong.

The D still has some ways to go, and may not be the clamp down, low opposing FG% D that we had in the 90's, but this D is capable of creating turnovers and getting out in transition. We're playing more up-tempo on offense, and this we are giving up more points. There is still room for improvement, but you can see the subtle adjustments Lenny is making.

Questions remain, what of Frank Williams and Anderson? Are they out of the rotation? Can we afford them to be, as they are the best defenders for us against quicker guards? I think Frank should play over Moochie every time, and while Shandon isn't as good as Penny, there must me be some minutes for him. Othella played well tonight, but I dunno if you want him in there for 25 minutes every night. Maybe that's where the minutes will come from. It was nice to see Doleac get good minutes again, carrying over from the good play he had earlier in the year, when he was rebounding decently and knocking down jumpers, while being active on the defensive end.

playing Frank would definitely improve our D. I sure he's not playing because he's no 100% not cos they think Moochie is better. He can't play D and run a team like Frank can.

Bigtime win folks, this is exactly the kind of games we will have to win to make the playoffs. Those of you who have been watching the Knicks for the last few years know exatly what I mean lol so I woun't get into that. Some noticable pts thou:
1)Doleac has got to be the most improved Knick, this guy got what 9 boards today and like 2-3 blks? The dude is actually living up to being a mid 1st rounder, the way it is going he might turn into one of the best backup C in the league, and the way the league is going, that might translate into a solid startin C lol.
2)Leave Penny alone, the guy just makes plays, 4 steals etc, every game I can think of a bigtime intangibles play, ala LJ in his last years.
3)KVH is offically untouchable, I hated the trade in the beginnin and I was an idiot for it, I should probably start a post saying how much of an idiot I was for hatin on KVH lol.
4)Steph has got to be more agressive at times, that pass back to KVH was nonsense. Now who would have thougth that we would be beggin Steph to shoot more? hehe
5)Lenny gets bigtime props for bigtime gut call in the 4th takin out Steph. Moochie did very well with 4 dimes and a tough shot to spell Stehp allowing him to finish out the game fresh. Once again, fellas we have a real coach.
6)Give Moochie some credit, I'd like to see FW in there instead of him too but he did very very well today, he was key in the run that put the Bulls away.
7)Where's FW???? I hope he is just injured or we are showcasin Moochie, the kid has got to play, he has proven he is a baller.
8)Would Deke please swallow his pride and let Thomas guard the C so Deke can just do his thing and be a weakside whotblocker please while stayin in the game and out of early fell trouble.
9)Whats gotten into OH? That dunk in transition in the 2nd was sick.
10)We have to play Houston less minutes, maybe rest him a game in the Atlanta game, stamina seems to be an issue with his mupltiple injuries.
11)Anderson keeps his streak going, nice gesture by Lenny lol.
12)Is anybody better then KT in pullin the chair?
13)Can't wait till the next game, I'm going back to campus and a bunch of people in my dorm are all knick fans, no classes Monday, all of us are gonna watch the 1 oclokc game (yeah fellas be jelous we get MSG on campus lol). They better win or the some of us arent waiting for Thursday (those in the know will get it lol).
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

. . Lenny Wilkens indicated that veteran Moochie Norris will be his backup point guard behind Stephon Marbury and ahead of second-year man Frank Williams.

Look right now Starbury is the future n the current starting pg and will retire as the starter.U guys think Will be happy about the backup role for 7 or 8 or 10yrs.((NOPE))so keep him on the bench while his trade value is high so we can get someone good in return.norris is a decent backup veteran n there will be another to replace him along the line to backup Starbury.

Smart move! Moochie, the veteran backup who knows his role. Williams most likely will get traded by the trading deadline..

Unbelievable!! Usually with a lead in the fourth, the Knicks would've lost it by not playing defense orlack of confidence. Apparently under Wilkins, He's preached defense and basic intangibles in order to win games..

The Knicks came out with energy. When the Bulls seemes to be losing their composure and mental awareness, the Knicks took advantage of it and kept scoring constantly.

Hopefully, they keep up the winning streak....

Didn't the announcers say that Bulls don't know how to win down the stretch in games? Why all the hoopla over beating a team that sucks all they did was show our weak defense against competent guards. Toronto will be the stiffest challenge so far under WILKENS.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Because a guy like LEnny took advantage over a team that don't know how to win down the stretch.. He was able to read the language of the opposition.. Unlike Chaney, he wouldn't have a clue on beating chicago down the stretch.. THATS WHY!!!
