Now if we didn't make that trade back then , at this point S+T would be our only option to get a 2nd allstar. And after we'd give up an arm and a leg, our roster would not be comparable to say, Chicago's. You know they would want Gallo and Curry's expiring just to even start talking trade with us. We would not even be in the Lebron sweepstakes at all. Imo , Jordan Hill trade already justified itself with Amare signing.

How can you forget about the fact we had to trade superstar Jared Jeffries as well ? lol

I actually thought that Sergio was going to be a good piece for us. Imagine if he did become Nash Lite? Oh well, you can't have it all, I guess.

Well rested. Been hibernating in a cave for the past 2 years hoping when I wake up we will be under the cap and Stephon Marbury is on a slow boat to China.

I missed you BlueSeats! Boy we sure had some fun times back in the day at rgm. Hope everything is well with you. Always loved your username.

NO, but he's a guy that will automatically make us better, with or without LeBron. Next up, wait on LeBron, if not him, then it's time to put the bball skills to work, by the front office. Go for the Lees, and Millers of the world and maybe try and get Anthony Randolph or Okafor.

he's still out there man. we could have them both!!!

Excellent point.

why look at it logically when its more fufilling to bitch and moan and say you way is better?

Lets look at it again... Jordan Hill, a swap next year (We will be better than the Rockets) and a first rounder with top 5 protection for a 27 year old 5 time all star coming off what might be his best season.

Yea... I dont know how anyone could swallow that

I was wondering where you were too. Did you start your own Knicks forum?

Truth is, I pulled the plug on cable last year. Didn't see much hoops at all.

Yes, I have started my own blog (From the Baseline.com. So far the response I have been getting from fans, writers, some of the players, and rappers have been really good. As you know I will not hold back the way I feel about a topic.

I have been part of many forums in the past. However this time around I wanted to do things by myself.

What about you?

lol... so now that's the reason i guess... we gave up Hill, swap rights & a pick to get Amare? wow... i don't know how anyone can say that with a straight face & then come out with some bullsheit about other people not thinking logically... that's some funny stuff.

how about looking it the way it is & admit that we went for that trade to attract 2 bigname FA's to NYC this summer, one of who's name is Lebron James? don't give me this "you wouldn't trade Jordan Hill & a meaningless 1st round pick for Amare?" analogy... we already had the means to get Amare this summer with cap space & enough assets & cap space left over to pursue other trade options... now we're all holding our breathe for Lebron, who i hope like hell we can sign, but that's the reality of it all.

TMS, I admit, I'm not crazy about having given up the picks either, but you're not acknowledging that we may not have been able to sign Amare at all, without the caps space to sign another FA. He, himself could have gone to Miami or Chicago. We may have been shut out. Its not only attractive to Lebron and Wade to come play with another max, but attractive to the other max to come play with them. It seems a bit of a package deal.

hopefully that is the case... believe me i'm hoping like hell Amare's coming here will attract Lebron or Wade or another bigname guy... i think it's an important first move & have said that more than a few times already... i'm not even complaining about this signing, dunno why some people get the impression... i just don't believe in saying we won the race before it's even over.

I don't think there will be a problem unless somebody wants to make a problem, ... If they really want to make a problem, they're going to have to make a decision about how they want to spend their adult life in terms of playing in the NBA or not.
