Amazing thing is that 9.3% of the UK Forum picked the Knicks to win tonight. (No one picked the spread). Either they are clairvoyant or they were on something, but either way, Congratulations!

Sounds like Sergio maybe out the rotation for a bit and we will see Duhon. The circus continues.

If this game does not earn him 30+ MPG for the rest of the year nothing will.

i wouldn't put anything past MDA... TD scored 20+ twice in the first few games he ever saw significant run to start off this season & he still found himself on the bench... Jordan Hill had a couple games where he put up some nice stats in limited minutes & yet he never even got more than a cursory look thereafter... right now i dunno if he's auditioning these kids as trade bait this summer or as talent he'd like to hold onto for next season.

so i guess Duhon is back in the rotation now, so that means Eddie House is riding pine for a bit? or will TD find himself back on the bench after a bad loss? we'll see.

I was just about to type this same reason. MDA gets no credit from me. Douglas is playing the same way he has been playing when he got time. He said before it was about trusting veterans more than rookies because people livelihoods blah blah blah. MDA double talks a lot.

yup... kid put up 2 games where he scored over 20 in the first few games he played significant minutes this year... we knew he could play... why he wasn't playing is another failure of this season... so much time wasted we could have been developing this kid along w/Hill this year instead of playing Fishlips, Bender & Duhon all that time... makes u wanna bang ur head against the wall sometimes.

LOL. I guess Duhon did his penance and will be granted a reprieve.

This seems to be the best overall game TD has had. This was the most assists he had this year. It appears to me that you guys may be going overboard on the bashing of MDA over this kids minutes. Sure he could've played him more, but he's been in 40 games as a rookie with weak floor general skills on a team that needs a floor general. I went back over the game logs for Toney and it appears that MDA let him play longer when he was going well. There were some games where he got a lot of minutes but didn't produce, but perhaps MDA let him play cuz he was doing other things than scoring. Overall TD's biggest contribution has been scoring. He's not an assist guy, but he defends and can score. In Nov there were only 3 games that TD didn't get double digit minutes. In Dec. 4 games where he didn't get double digit minutes but one of those games he had 9 minutes. It's also a stretch to suggest that when he gets minutes he produces cuz if you look at the game log and check he hasn't been productive everytime he's had 20+ mins.

Most of us like the kid and are pulling for him, but he's got a long way to go and I don't think that just cuz he got a lot of minutes means he would be successful or learn faster. That's not how it always works with rookies. I hope this is the start of many more great games for the kid. Let's just take it easy tho with this campaign to trash MDA over everything.

TD sat for long stretches of the seasson in between those 20+ min performances you're referencing... i'd hardly expect a veteran to come out & produce big numbers seeing that kind of sporadic play much less a rookie... look at his statlines he put up in November when he was seeing minutes for 4 straight games he put up 16, 21, 23 & 15... then he goes back to seeing sporadic minutes for the rest of the year... not just til the past 4 games has he had this amount of regular burn in the rotation & he's responded with 11, 2, 19 & 19, & tonight he put up a career high in assists with 7... rookies need regular burn to develop... getting minutes in 1 game then sitting back down on the bench for another 2 weeks is not a good way for a young kid to gain confidence in his game & get acclimated to the speed of the NBA... this kid should have been playing regular minutes from the beginning of the season, case closed... there is no possible justification u can give to defend MDA on this one.

in the postgame, MDA was asked what TD was doing differently now that he wasn't doing before that warranted him getting more playing time... all he could say was that he couldn't just give it to him he had to earn his minutes... if that's the mantra, what was Chris Duhon doing out on the floor all that time when he was struggling? what did he do this season to earn those minutes & why did it take so long for MDA to finally get it through his head that he needed to go in a different direction? do u really believe the crap he dishes out? seriously bro... do u?

Might catch Knicks in 60.

Season has gotten to the point where it's not worth tuning into every game live...only to watch them get torched. So for the remainder. If they win...it's Knicks in 60 the next day.

Already watched plenty of losses this year. Waste of time.

Duhon played? What for?

Why is Sergio banished now?

Don't tell me Walsh needed to watch Duhon play again to make a decision on him and therefore told Mike to give him burn. Please don't tell me this is Mike feeling that he can't sit veterans looking for the next payday.

Either scenario has incompetence written all over it.

Perhaps they're shelving Sergio to keep his value down, if they are already sold on keeping him long-term.

Douglas played a better game than I ever thought he was capable of. His play reminded me of Rondo. It's of utmost importance to give this guy playing time.
