This maybe a dumb question but has anyone been watching the women's tournament? Believe it or not there is some great basketball being played UNCONN women are by far the most dominating team in all of basketball men or women (no this does not mean I think they can beat men's team). They've won 74 games straight I don't care men or women that's pretty impressive.

i have in spurts. gotta agree - its been pretty good. didnt UCONN whoop up on temple like 90-39 or something ridiculous like that? only team that can compete (i.e.: not lose by 30+ to them is tennesse - probable final 4 match-up).

on a side note - imho they can probably hang with some of the team in the NIT right now.

The NIT is so terrible it's like watching a high school and it doesn't get really good until the end.

Here's another women's player to watch out for if you get a chance watch Baylor. Brittney Griner is 6'8 and mobile a few years ago a 6'8 was a walking corpse now the women's game has gotten more athletic and quicker. Griner is a Freshman now.

^^ I still have yet to go to a woman's game, but Griner is ridiculous. Last round vs. Georgetown she had 14 blocks as Baylor moves on to the Sweet 16. I guess I'll have to go to a game next year.

The best women's team in college basketball couldnt hang with a top tier men's HS basketball let alone any team in college.

if they can get past kentucky tonight and w wvu limited by a key injury (i doubt wash beats them tho), they could squeek into the final final four.

If you haven't even seen them play than you are hardly in any position to say who they can or can't compete against.

i did...

Gus really trying too hard to be senor overstatement...

love his voice in a legit game, but this ish is...iiight...at best for a "good" game...

NCAA ball today, the difference between a 1 and a 5 is little to nothing...and it has happened before and more frequently...

the 'Cuse team with Billy Owens and Derrick Coleman would SCHOOL this squad (one of my fav teams)....

and they lost in the 1st round as a 2 seed...

NBA nerds and B-ball obsessed folks...we love finding our "prospects" we can declare we "found" before everyone else (yeah right) but as a system NCAA ball seems to have fewer dominant teams that can destroy you...

it's the last bastion for white americans chance at b-ball...

and it ain't as much about "athleticism" as some suggest...imho...

college ball should DIE...this is one thing playa and i agree on...

Beside rooting for N Iowa and Cornell, I was hoping to see Syracuse do well. More than surprising, IMO.

The worst thing about that game was Butler shot terribly the entire game. Just shows that when your team controls the pace, rebounds, and defends well that you can still pull out games through ****ty shooting performances.

i hear you...

i like cornell, maybe because i am who i am, but also because i lived in ithaca, and lived on their campus...

so far, btw, interesting matchup between they and kentucky...

perhaps bird-vs-magic type of thing, but fun to watch for the first few minutes...

Kentucky is my pick to go all the way. My bracket has stabilized (I had Kansas losing in the sweet sixteen), so those geeks at Cornell better not do anything stupid, lol
