I would level him. There is a mindset that guys that truly "lead their teams" to championships have. lebron doesn't have it right now. those guys that are focused on the show(in general) tend not to be able to put their teams over the top. But he's young, so it would not concern me that much if I was coaching him.

Of all the millions of asses that Michael Jordan busted, how many times did you see him strut or preen or dance or play to the crowd. Maybe 3 or 4 times ever??? All he cared about was winning the game. To him a dunk wasn't the end all to be celebrated. Neither was winning a game. What was most important was doing whatever it took to win a title. That's all he cared about. If you pay attention to Michael later in his career. He was not the most talented player in basketball. But he was so focused, so determined, such an assassin, that it didn't matter. He beat you anyway.

If michael jordan could dance he probably would.. did you see him in that michael jackson video. "jam".. LOL.. Jordan sucked at dancing.. LOL

On the court I would stab you in the face if it meant winning.

Learn to separate fellas. You don't know who these guys are. Some are trained to behave great in public but behind closed doors are horrible human beings. Vice versa as well. Some guys make some huge mistakes in public and look like jerks, but they would give their spleen to your mother if they had to.

Agreed. Completely. Im just puzzled, because I havent seen any public behavior that matches the character assassinations being leveled against him.

exactly.. and i also read here where someone called him uneducated? nah, he doesn't have a college degree, but the kid is not uneducated, he doesn't have a college degree education, but he is educated enough to make business decisions that will eventually make him hundreds of millions.. kid is doing something right..

Again.. I will ask this question.. what idiot besides nate, dances when they lose?

lebron is awesome - there is no debating that. but he is currently not on those guys levels when it comes to seriously taking his team to the next level. he has the skills to but he's not there. he's still in the "i want to have some fun" stage of his career. that's ok tho - he's still just a kid.

it's obvious noah was frustrated with the way the team was playing. they were getting blown out and he looks over the other side and he was doing the kid and play like they just won a championship. he was voicing his frustration.

the issue with lebron is that everybody clearly defers to him in everything. his teammates, coaches and organization. what he (and wade) did the past 12 months talking about free agency and playing in this city and that city was nothing short of unprofessional and disrespectful to their fanbase and organization.

let's be real here, the only thing keeping Lebron from taking his team to the next level is the talent around him, not his showboating on the floor... this is the case in any team sport you wanna talk about... some guys are just more understated & they don't like to show up the opponents & disrespect them but i don't think that means u can't take ur team to the next level if u like to celebrate w/ur teammates during games... it's just a question of personalities here, nothing more... Lebron is alot more gregarious than Kobe, it's just fact... Shaq is just as bad as Lebron, i'm pretty sure no one thinks he couldn't take his teams to the next level during his HOF career... some alltime great athletes like Barry Sanders don't celebrate TD's & just hand the ball to the ref (which i actually much prefer than the showboating types), but he was on some crappy Lions teams & never got to the big show, & then you have someone like Deion Sanders who was exciting to watch & probably the most self promoting & obnoxious athlete ever but still played a key role in helping the 49ers win a Super Bowl while winning Defensive POY honors the same season, but he had some great talent around him on that team... Reggie Jackson, another alltime great but self promoting player who liked to cut the mustard every time he hit a HR posing at the plate & had his signature prance while rounding the bases, he's got 5 WS rings on his finger w/the A's & Yanks & disrespected his own teammates w/the "straw that stirred the drink" comment... you have your Derek Jeter's, Tom Brady's, Peyton Manning's & Jerry Rice's, & then you have your Shaq's, Reggie's & Neon Deion's... this has nothing really to do w/being able to win championships.

but i agree w/u about the stuff about Lebron & Wade disrespecting their fanbase w/the free agency stuff... if i were a Cavs or Heat fan i wouldn't much like it either... & i agree that Noah did well in saying something to Lebron, but i still think Lebron woulda kicked his ass either way.

best post so far.. guys like jeter, that wasn't their style, and I am a jeter fan, and I appreciate that about him.. Kobe bryant calle out his GM and demanded a trade before last season, making home made videos and acting like a damn kid.. lets not mention the rape case he was involved in..

shaq last year with the suns had that crazy human bowling pin act with the younger guys on the team before games.. I thought it was funny..

lebron doesn't get involved with off court drama, he didn't sell out his teamtes or GM, instead he spoke out against his coach in favor of Big Z not getting in the game. he put himself on the line.. lebron is a good dude, and I am sure all the dancing is for fun, not to show anyone up.. he didn't need to show the bulls up, they did a good job of that themselves.. Noah brought attention to his teams bad performance by yapping his gums from the bench. not lebron..

Lebron is a winner, and he will win a ring one day. I just hope it is in NY...

So you must have hated Oakley, Mason, the Xman, and pretty much the entire Knicks team in the 90s?

I grew up on Oakley, Starks, Mason, Ward, Ewing, the bad boys, Chicago, Miami etc. I guess I can't relate to the sissies of today. I knock you down, no need to fight, get tough, stop dancing and try to knock me down next time I go in the paint.

And for the record if I did knock Lebron down and there was a melee, I'm pretty sure the next time we played he would stop all that dancing. My team would probably play a little harder against his team too. Then we can get back to playing basketball.

Can you please provide some examples and support for your attack on Lebron's character other than 'he dances on the court occasionally' or 'he didnt shake hands after a hard loss in the playoffs'

Ya'll are really acting ridiculous now...What does Lebron have to do with Anthony Mason?

I said he was:

young (confirmed)

arrogant (The way he handled his impending free agency was anything but humble. The cleveland media and fans feels similarly. Can you blame a guy at his age in his situation for becoming arrogant?)

petulant (walking off the court after losing, threating noah, etc.)

aggressive (you've seen this guy play, haven't you?)

spoiled (this could be debatable. He is a prince after all, and is indulged at every turn, though.)

uneducated (at least not formally past highschool)

rich (confirmed)

famous (confirmed)

and an athlete by profession (confirmed).

seb, what exactly is really debatable here? I'm totally open to have my mind changed, but fax is fax, homie.

"It is harder for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kindgom of heaven".-- Jesus.

Now I'm not trying to make this a religious/moral debate. I'm just trying to point out that under the circumstances above it would be difficult for Jesus himself or anyone else to develop what some would call "Good Character".

The young man has a unique set of challenges.

I dont get all this, money...for real. Just seems like you're finding ways to hate. Nobody's perfect.
