I definitely know about it. Ever since you pointed out that hockey players never get called thugs, I noticed that people have been doing it. Heck, Paul O'Neal said it during the Yankees game last night.

Is there racism in the sports media. YES! I was just trying to point out that it wasn't as bad as you made it out to be because I do pay attention to stuff like that because I hate racism just as much as anyone.

I do think there are some bad apples that will say crap that maybe will make you come up with assumptions, understandably. Overall, however, I think the fair writers/journalists/anchors, ect... have been pretty good with it.

I disagree 100%. Police officers are given great authority in society and for that, they should be held to a higher standard than ordinary citizens.

And when I said "thug" for the most part I was talking about the label attached to the league...NBA has almost uniform, "thug ball" stain and for what? What have the NBA players done to deserve that? The altercations that have occurred in the NBA dont even approach the NHL. But concerning individuals, I sure there are a few commentators (O'Neill for example) who are willing to call a spade, a spade so I'm not shocked.

But I dont want to go down this road anymore, quite frankly I dont like the energy from some of ya'll and im getting flucking pissed at this thread.

Why are you getting pissed at me? I was just stating a point that I think is correct. I rarely hear the NBA labeled as "Thug Ball" in this day and age anymore than hockey players are labeled it. Not trying to piss you off bro. I understand it's a sore subject, but I was just making a point that I feel is correct.
