We need a big guy. I don't care if we take a guy who needs two years to develop--we have to get a big guy. I know I will have some detractors on this but I wish we could get Thabeet--especially is we get Nash. A good PG and an athletic shot blocking C who can also score at a high %. I'd be willing to offer the pick to the Clippers for Jordan

There you go Isles. Nate was hurt on that play, MDA was screaming to foul but the team didn't listen.

There's a difference between being hurt and not making any attempt to get up while play was still going on and your team was forced to play 4 on 5, which ended in the other team making a huge 3 pointer.

The fact that he was able to come back after the time out and show no ill effects from being "hurt" tells me he was dogging it. If you're going to sit on your ass while your team is still playing without you for a good 20 seconds, you ****ing better be really hurt. He didn't even make an attempt.

I honestly agree. Though, Harrington doing a few minutes later when he wasn't even hurt, just upset he didn't get a call was even worse. Things like that, combined with poor shot selection and the refusal to move the ball (more often than not), make me want neither on the team past this year.

I definitely agree. Donnie has mentioned we need a shot blocker on numerous occasions. With so many PGs out this year and so few Cs, I find it hard to imagine that we don't take a C or use something like Mobley's contract to move up. Buy a late first if you want a PG.

LOL He lost consciousness and woke up dazed and confused but he miraculously stayed in the game after a 2 minute time out? Without showing ANY ill effects? Wow, maybe he is Superman.

Sorry but that's just total BS. We're supposed to believe that he suffered a head injury severe enough that he blacked out and didn't know where he was when he regained consiousness but they had him playing again within 2 minutes??? Come on man.

We do need a big guy and if all things are close to equal at our pick, we should go that way. But if the bpa is significantly better than the best big guy available we've got to draft the player and not the position.

In boxing you have flash knockouts that are short in duration and the fighter is quickly able to gather himself. I'm not saying Nate had this happen, but it's not unheard of. The thing is Nate faking or not, we'd need to be doing something really special to beat this team at home when NO ONE else except the Lakers have done it this year. You could see this loss coming unless the Cav's just didn't bring it.

Harrington took 19 shots.. 12 of them were three pointers.. go figure..

We let sideshow bob varajo run he same play 3 straight times for critical scores..

We played dumb late...

lee doesn't box out or protect the lane..

Can't beat good teams at home, executing that way..

Nate took 21 shots.. not sure if I want that from my PG... especially when he isn't hitting a good percentage of his shots...

i think he was doing his best Vince Carter impersonation on that play.

We don't execute at the end of games. Its been a repeated pattern all season. Its why having someone like Steve Nash (as discussed in another thread) would make a major difference.

exciting game tho... can't fault them for not beating 1 of the best teams in the NBA in their house... at least they made it interesting.

Absolutely. It's why I'm not really upset about this year. We've had some stinkers, but we have, in general, played very competetive games, even against the league's best. That in and of itself is an improvement over some of the prior years. If we can add a player that can lead down the stretch of games, it would make a huge difference on our record- even with minor changes otherwise.

i'd really rather see Gallo getting burn the rest of this season than to see Jared Fishlips running around like a chicken w/his head cut off for 25 minutes a night... other than that i'm getting pretty much what i expected out of this team this year.

I agree. Though I'd point out that creating some value out of Jeffries so that there is a chance he can be moved next year, could be quite an important endeavor.

I just don't see how he will do anything down the stretch that will make another team think any different than of him. He is what he is. But it's really the lack of strength and quickness on defense (which is part time and health) which appears to keep Gallinari out of games. When Q is fighting through screens and keeping with his man better than you are...

true dat, but i mean do u really think he's gonna be tradeable this offseason? i don't... that trade kicker in his contract which makes him virtually untradeable w/o us kicking in some major asset in the bargain.

It seems to me that even a lot of great teams don't really "execute" at the end of the games either. At least not as a team. What they have is that one player who they can drop the ball off to and who can do two things on a regular basis:

1. Create a good to great scoring opportunity.
2. Make the right decision when the opportunity presents itself.

I think our problem is we have players who can one or the other, but not both. Obviously I'm only talking about the offense here.

Man, MDA taking some not so subtle shots at Lee's defense.

He's joining the club.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
