first off thanks martin, I know you're always paying attention.

Secondly guys in fairness, you can blast my site if you want. I have already built some credibility, but this is not about me, never has been. Let's just be clear.

I have sources around the league (not that difficult when you know the right people) and i had someone post the clippers deal in my comment section. I got on the phone and no one had heard of it but I heard plenty of rumblings that the Blazers have a man crush on lee for the reason stated. They appear to be interested in making a move.

For me there would have to be a third team involved, but I haven't confirmed with sources ( or the people who helped me break the Randolph trade 15 minutes before Alan hahn as well as Marbury suiting up. I also had Harrington for Crawford on the radar in July. It's on the blog check it out) about this clippers thing, so at this point I'm not putting my name to it.

dude, keep posting ur info... most of us appreciate the input.

+1

I see this deal as

Bayless/Jordan for Lee... that's awesome, especially given the extension dilemma.

Then, Camby is the short term replacement for Lee's production... that's even more awesome.

THEN ON TOP OF THAT, QRich gets subtracted???? WHAT?!?!?!

Where's the downside to this deal? Part of me is thinking if it's too good to be true... but then again the Clips are involved

^I'm pretty sure many, including the topic creator, have mentioned that this is a fake trade. It was posted on some blog's comments section.

i never posted a trade. I posted the Blazers heavy interest. The trade came from someone else.
Just take the time to read this very carefully let me know if you need any help.
Several sources with knowledge of the situation have told TKB that the Portland Trailblazers are getting serious about trading for David Lee.

Blazers ownership thinks Lee is the perfect 6th man who will be 26 in April and can be part of their long term plans. As we know Lee has leverage because he doesn’t have to sign with a team he is traded to, but playing in Portland with their young core would be very attractive.

The Blazers’ organization feels Lee’s style of play would fit perfectly in Portland as he can play in both the half court system and get out and run as well as any forward in the NBA. Plus he’d be a “flex” forward who could make them a big half court team or a smaller quicker team depending if he subbed in for LaMarcus Aldridge, Greg Oden or Nicolas Batum.

The question now becomes what do the Blazers give up in order to match what the Knicks need. We’ve said Donnie Walsh might move Lee with Curry as a means to get Curry’s contract off the books. But there isn’t great rush in moving Curry at this point because he is under contract next year. Since they were able to move Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford, there isn’t any desperation. At some point they want to move Big Ed, but it doesn’t have to be at the expense of Lee especially with his value being quite high. ESPN reported that Walsh turned down the Nuggests offer of Chucky Atkins and two first round picks for the former 30th overall pick.

The Knicks may be interested in Jerryd Bayless, who has fallen behind Sergio Rodriguez on their depth chart, and whom the team passed on in this year’s draft, or Rodriguez , but the combination of either and a first round pick won’t be enough to entice Walsh. This is where a third team may get involved.

So it reads Donnie will not deal Lee Sergio or Bayless and a number 1 pick.

Where by my name does the other deal get mentioned?

Maybe you're the one who needs the help reading. I said the trade was posted in some blog's comments section. I don't know whether it was yours or not but I said that even you denied that trade was real. I did not say you started that rumor nor did I say your site was responsible for it.

I wasn't attacking you I was just trying to be sure it was clear.

It's obvious to me that you got that, just want everyone else to be as well.

thanks for understanding and I apologize if you took it that way.

It never expires. It is the type of gift that keeps on giving and giving. Much like a STD.

How do you all feel about Bellinelli being the center of a trade instead of Bayless? Bayless is really an unknown quantity being a rookie and a PG who is probably better as a SG. With Bellinelli you get someone who has height (6'5") can shoot and defend. He would also fit this system (as would Bayless). We need another guard, SG moreso, in the worst way, so perhaps we should go for that...

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2009/01/04/2009-01-04_knicks_consider_trade_to_bring_back_marc.html
The Portland Trail Blazers' dogged pursuit of David Lee could result in Marcus Camby returning to New York.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh denied that he is working on a three-way deal with the Blazers and Clippers, but several team sources confirmed that Walsh and the Knicks' coaching staff have discussed the possibility of adding Camby, who was traded from Denver to the Clippers last July.

Portland has been trying for months to acquire Lee, who will become a restricted free agent this summer. Mike D'Antoni would prefer to have the athletic 7-foot Camby as his center as opposed to the 6-9 Lee, who has improved offensively but has struggled on the defensive end.

There was a report of the Knicks being involved in a deal that would send Quentin Richardson to the Clippers and Lee to Portland, with the Knicks getting back Camby and former Knicks first-round pick Channing Frye. Walsh, however, denied having discussed that trade with the Clippers and Blazers.

looks like there's some llegs to three way trade between PDX, LAC and NYK. I would be pretty disappointed if all we got for Lee was a Camby rental and Frye. We need a guard badly if we do this trade.

Same here. Jerryd Bayless and/or Jordan are absolutely necessary for me to part with Lee

Clips ain't trading Camby to get back Q Rich & ain't no way POR only has to give up Curly Frye for D Lee... there's gotta be a lot more involved in that proposed 3 way to even make sense.

I would think TommyDee's original report might be a bit more accurate in terms of the scope of the trade.

I would want a tad more, like Bayless too or a first rounder.

Jordan was had for a 2nd rounder and Camby IS a 1+ year rental (which can be moved again).
