Is MSNBC conservative? They give 15 hrs/week to a clear conservative commentator (Joe Scarborough) and only 10 to liberals/progressives (5 each for Rachel and Keith). I don't watch CNN much but I know conservative Lou Dobbs has his own show and I don't think any liberals do.

The VP is not the leader of the US Senate. The VP is the president of the Senate but has no responsibility other than casting the deciding vote in case of a tie vote. The VP is a member of the Executive Branch of government. The Founding Fathers made that very clear. Remember checks and balances thing.
VP only has two duties. Preside over the Senate and be ready to assume the duties of the President of the United States if the President is unable to fulfill them. I think she is confusing the word president. BTW, she was talking to a reporter who was relaying the question asked by the 3rd grader. So she was talking to an adult. Vice President Cheney has screwed with a lot of people minds on this matter because he wants the term president of the Senate to mean having authority while the Constitution clearly states that the term refers to the chairperson and not the authority leader.

As for this whole Obama/McCain stuff, any logical person who has suffered for the last 8 years of failed Republican policies will see that McCain is not that far off from George W. Bush. Furthermore, his Vice President has to be one of the stupidest politicians I have ever seen in my life. She's worse than Bush. This person is a brain-dead Dick Cheney. Barack Obama has policies that make sense and that will turn this country around down the road. Miracles are not going to happen overnight. John McCain is clueless on this. All he can talk about is the time when he was a POW as if that will help our economy. Barack Obama makes sense both because most of his ideas sound reasonable and quite good and because we do not need another 8 years of a Republican president. Especially one who voted with Bush more than 90% of the time! Thank you, Rick Brunson.
