I thought McCain handled that woman quite well. He cut her off and stated for a second time that Obama was a decent man. As much as I want Obama to win, I still have to compliment McCain for doing what he did. I think McCain is appalled at what is happening with this issue of labeling Obama a terrorist because of his name.

Kinda hard to take him seriously when he himself has encouraged this mob mentality.

I agree. I know he realized things were getting out of hand and I commend him for doing the right thing and trying to tone things down. My point was he had a total lack of foresight as to what was going to happen. For someone who likes to stress his experience, I find him shockingly inexperienced when it comes to handling national matters that impact people beyond his base voters.

That's exactly the point. You don't get brownie points for that. Pundits were warning his campaign since two weeks ago about this sort of attack. IMHO, he didn't start to address it until top Republicans began to critize the campaign for these tatics. This was new approach in the campaign. You don't need any better example then Palin trying to justify her methods of attacks. Not only that it was predicted that McCain and co. will begin to reel it back if the poll numbers did not work in their favor which they didn't. They are basically throwing everything at the wall to see what will stick. Dude was smiling last week when people were screaming terrorist. This is also the same guy who smiled back in the primaries when a supporter called Hillary Clinton a bitch.

I agree with all of you that McCain has gone over to the dark side of the force in his bid for President. No arguments from me on that. He, and Karl Rove, are directing all of the negative campaigning and further dividing the country.

Duke is playing chess not checkers, whats funny is that the McCain camp, and all his minions, immediately accused him of playing the "race card" after this speech.
