not sure what's so comical about being loyal to one's franchise through the tough times, but hey, ur free to have an opinion.

The expressions are comical not the actions, not sure why you're stuck on what I find humerous.

I don't get this either. Trueblue used to be a Bulls fan but is now a Knick fan. Who cares? Why not focus on the content of his arguments?

[Edited by - bonn1997 on 03-04-2008 11:17 AM]

mind telling me what you don't find comical? the fact that someone thinks they have a right to criticize others for being loyal to the franchise they themselves claim they're a fan of doesn't strike you as hypocritical in any way, shape or form? that's what i'm focusing on, pretty much the content of his arguments on this thread.

Then why didn't you raise your heartfelt concerns with eVil who actually cast the first stone?

The proof is in this thread I never criticized anyone I only made reference to statements that I've seen made which are Corny and Comical IMO. It's no different than a fan expressing concerns of how over the top some of their fellow fans can be. Just because they express their view doesn't make them any less of a fan. You're trying to play the role of Judge. You really don't have a point if it's directed at me, at least not from this thread.

Let me ask you this TMS posters who have made comments which may come across as negative towards the paying fans at the Garden who boo's the team and I SAY UGH are they Less of a fan or Hypocrites? Those fans who boo'd the team care about the Knicks right? So what gave posters the right to comment on what they were doing?

LOL. I don't see anyone praising Curry. Once again attack of the strawman.

Did I say Curry was being praised? I Said......

Beg Off Definition......To Make A Humble Or Urgent Plea

What was Briggs doing in the thread he specifically created for Curry?

Looks like you inserted your own strawman here

when u come out against those people who express their loyalty to the team they love by ridiculing how they root for the logo & not the names on the back of the jerseys or how they bleed orange & blue, it comes off as not only malicious, but also as fraudulent especially when coming from someone who chose to abandon the team they once rooted for in favor of 1 of their arch rivals... i don't know where u get off criticizing someone for showing support for a team that you yourself are supposedly a fan of... arguing a point of view is 1 thing, but you're only focus here seems to be trying to incite posters & rustle people's feathers, & speaking for myself i have a problem with that.

if u feel the inherent need to constantly spout negativity on a forum to show how much of a fan you are, that's up to you... the reason i'm focusing on you instead of eViL is because you seem to always find a need to take little digs & disrespect everyone who doesn't agree with your point of view... it's an old tired act of yours & i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one around here who's pretty sick of it at this point... tell me i'm wrong here.

again, i have no problem w/anyone criticizing this team... but the last person around here who should be ragging on loyal fans is someone who's jumped several bandwagons in the past... so tell me who are you gonna go root for if Isiah's still around next year & this team still sucks like you keep threatening to do as if anyone really cared? you're gonna go root for the Brooklyn Nets? the Boston Celtics? if that's what floats your boat, all power to you... i don't hear anyone begrudging your own right to do so... i'm just suggesting you might wanna lay off the critical comments ragging on those who don't choose to follow your lead... that's all i'm saying.

u can go ahead & tell me to go to hell for feeling that way, that's your right... i'm just telling u how i feel, same as u.

OK so in short you don't really have a point, it's personal more than anything else.

Curry is 1-dimensional. Everyone knows what he can do. There is no point trying to build up his value. Build it up to what? Like what we get back in that theoretical trade after building him up will be soo much more than what we'd get now? GMs in the league know the book on Curry already. We can't shine **** and call it gold here.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Oh I can no prob. You're wrong but feel free to feel that way. I get along with quite a few here just fine who I've had many disagreements with before, heck even today. In the words of eVil keep sporting that "Badge of Honor"

I think if you'd stop poking yourself with the badge when you put it on, you might not be as irritable or uptight.

I guess I'm due for my 10yr patch. I'll store it away with my other safekeeps.

Because I haven't stopped liking them. Is there something you're looking for kam77? You've had your line in the water for quite some time now.

It would be nice if they acted like they gave a care for the 50yr+ Fan all the way down to the Here & Now Fan.

What give what? You go from rooting for MJ and GP and the 90s Knicks to this? Why not continue the trend of following the team of the moment? You say you're a fan of players... what possible [players do you like on this Knick team? I'd figure you for a Kobe or LeBron fan from your earlier statement of being a fan of players. Thus, it follows that you should've rooted for the Lakers at the beginning of the decade since they were the team with the best players... I'm just trying to figure out what is keeping you as a fan to this band of misfits and castoffs, never was and aint ever gonna be's (shout out to evil)

I liked Cam, Spree, and LJ and never stopped even after they left. I could have took or leave H20 only because I knew financially what he had coming to him but he was a player. Honestly I must confess before I SAY UGH traded for Marbury I thought personally Marbury was a Top3 point guard in the league. I understood why he made the trade but wasn't gung ho about it. I was amped to see the playoffs against the Nets despising Kidd, Martin, Jefferson, Harris, and Kitt Kaboodles. Then when they lost in the most embarrassing fashion things started becoming real personal, watching the team with a more cautious eye thinking I could eventually think of a remedy to get back to the Finals. When the Jamal signing happened along with a couple other trades I started getting a little angry and focused on Marbury. I thought the LB hire was the ultimate fix and have been even more deeply entrenched.
