Are you trying to compare Parish and McHale to Randolph and Curry? Randolph can operate away from the basket but will Curry move off the low post? This team has no balance and everyone needs shots.

I'm raising the notion that there have been successful teams with two post players. Sure, maybe you and the skeptics are correct, and it might be the case that they won't be able to function together, but I have not seen enough evidence to say it's going to be a big problem. Curry has been working on his jumper, but why can't a play be run for Randolph in the post with Eddy on the other side? Randolph can also operate in the high post area, which means Eddy can still be on the lower block.

Zach saying all of the right things in the post-game interview with Al, who asked pretty good questions.

Pretty good game for the Knicks. I am loving me some Freddy Jones, he showned that he can hit the J and play the D. Marbury, JC, Zach and Lee played very well and I like what I see with Wilson. Nate look a little more calmer this time.

Al asked Zach if as a 20-10 guy if you come out and try to be in the mentality every night. Zach said he usually does, but cares about winning more.

Then he was asked why he was traded...he said their was a change in the GM, and he holds no bitterness.

Then Al asked him if he and Eddy can work together on the court. Randolph said that he can work down low our outside, and that sacrifices have to be made because winning is more important.

Steph and Francis were much closer in style than Randolph and Curry. Francis was obviously done where as I don't think we got damaged goods in terms of Randolph. Have you even been watching the game? Does Eddy take his man off the dribble from 20 feet out? Does Eddy operate most of the time farther than 10 feet away? Randolph can operate from anywhere on the floor it seems.

Did the Celtics not work with 2 amazing post players?

Ummmm sonny, please don't insult the game of basketball by comparing Randolph and Curry to McHale and Parrish.

Parish didn't do much away from the basket. Neither did Wes Unseld when he played on some very good Baltimore Bullet teams with Elvin Hayes. We'll see. My guess is that the truth will turn out to be somewhere in the middle. I think it won't be either a great match or a disaster. It will work pretty well.

I can see what you're saying, but if it worked with Kobe and Shaq...uh oh...no I think it could be an issue, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a big one

i think to make it work, we're gonna need a special guard or offensive orchestrator that's going to run this team and keep everyone involved and happy. and this is purely talking about them together offensively.

btw, q's probably one of the few players on this team i really like...but he, marbury and crawford starting together is not going to work.

Knicks are smacking these bums but lets remember that this is a preseason game.

Better yet, let's remember they're not playing an NBA team.
But wasn't you just rooting for Tel Aviv?

All this crap about Zach and Curry is so annoying. They're bigs. The guards will pass to whoever is open and hot. They're also option 1 and 1A, so there's no way that they won't get enough touches. How about this? Zach is a stud and can't be stopped and Curry is a stud and can't be stopped. They get the ball the bulk of the time and everyone else get's the scraps. What's the problem? Lee will also be another top option as he should be. Those 3 are super high % as a group. I'm not the least bit concerned with the offense. Who exactly is gonna be able to keep us off the boards? Before Zach we were a top rebounding team and now we're even more so. Just relax and enjoy the fact that we finally have a team again that will be among the better teams. Don't be afraid to like this team and support the team 110%. You know you want to.

What I do like tho is the defense from the 2nd unit. Our 2nd unit is gonna be so tough that I think this will allow our starters to be the offensive minded players they are and even tho they'll be weak on D, we'll be able to overcome that due to the defense we'll get from the 2nd unit. They play hard and fast and the D creates a lot of the offense they get. It's like we've got 2 different teams. Of course it won't be as overwhelming against an NBA team, but it should still be effective. We won't need a lot of help. Just enough to keep the other teams scoring down and allow our offense to do what it does. POUND teams and get to the line!!!

I agree with the 1st part but Lee is not a top option. He will get garbage and hustle points.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

It's not that Eddy and Zach will be running into each other b/c they play the same game. It's clear they have some different skills. The problem is you can't pass the ball to them at the same time. Eddy needs touches and shots to be effective. We forcefed his way to 20 ppg last year. Now with Zach as a more effective scorer up front...are we really going to be wanting for forcefeed Eddy as much. With less touches will Eddy be effective? Especially when Eddy contributes so little in other aspects of the game (namely defense and rebounding?)

Anyway, a lot of you guys and a handful of "experts" thought we'd lose to these bums or have some trouble and we kicked the crap out of them. So there's that...
