True Knicks fans know that Marbury is slime.

4,438,139 Knicks fans are still without a clue.

It's kind of fun, actually. Most fun I've had being a Knicks fan in a few years.

And the truth is, Marbury is so talented that if he simply changed his mentality, it will all turn around for him. Everytime I'm hopeful for him that he would do that... then he lets me down. I'm no longer hopeful he will do that. I've given up all hope. He's a loser.

I judge Marbury only by his actions as a New York Knick and his actions as a New York Knick have been absolutely all over the place. His comments have ranged from ridiculous to asinine and point-blank the Knicks have sucked since he's been here. He's had coaches fired, he's had teammates traded and he has nothing but a playoff series sweep in his first half-season as a Knick to show for it. The guy acts and talks like he's been the saving grace for this organization when he's really done is a whole bunch of nothing.

Marbury is a retarded *******. Ruined my f'ck'n team. He deserves every bit of this.

So in that 1st half season when the team made the playoffs we are supposed to assume that this team was on the right track just months after Isiah's taking over for Layden, when the consensus was that it would take Isiah YEARS to fix this team? That is Steph's fault. Or did you not believe that it would take years to fix this team? Were you of the belief that all we needed was one former All Star and he could make this team great?

NO ONE PLAYER can make a team win. You have to have help and I think the way the team has been moving in the last 3 years Isiah has been trying to put a team together that can do something. Even if Steph played out of his mind this team still wouldn't have been great. I know that when i'm playing i'm responsible for my job on the court and unless the PG is absolutely horrible it shouldn't stop me from being able to effectively play my role. Steph is not horrible. There's no stat you can find that would suggest such a thing. The TEAM has been in flux since day one. Now at least we can start to see that this team has the young talent to do something good but you'd rather blame everything on Steph.

Last year he had to adjust and he eventually did and I suspect that if the other players do what they're supposed to do, this team will win. The truth is that nothing Steph could've done would've been enough for you to actually like him. So let's stop the games. You and many of the fans here just wanted to see this team rebuild from scratch and Steph represents the fact that Dolan and Isiah didn't do that. So you're angry with him as if it's all been in his control. That no matter who you threw on the court with him. He'd make it all work and we'd win. Then the question is win what? A few playoff games? That wouldn't have satisfied you or any fan. So the thing is that our ultimate goal is to have a team that can do more than that, but if we haven't reached that point in the last 4 years don't blame Steph.

2003-04 Expectation was to make the playoffs and win a few games. Made the Playoffs, but didn't win a game.
2004-05 Expectation was to make the playoffs and win a few games. Didn't make the playoffs. Isiah makes trades to acquire picks and begins the process of retooling with more youth.

This was a GOOD THING! Sure it wasn't the complete rebuild many wanted, but it's as close as we were ever gonna get from Dolan.

2005-06 Expectation was to establish a new winning culture, develop kids and hopefully make the playoffs. Total disaster as LB tries a Powerplay.
2006-07 Expectation to do what didn't get accomplished the previous season. Team makes some progress, but misses playoffs.
2007-08 Expectation is to win and make playoffs. Real success would be getting past 1st rd.

In the 3.5 actual seasons played we've never really had an expectation to be great and so the failure has to be put into perspective. This is the 1st season since Steph and Isiah that we have bigger expectations than just squeezing into the playoffs. We have to do more than just get by. But remember that it's not just about this season but the next 5 seasons. We just want to start the winning this year. We've had 3 disappointing seasons and i'm sure we all want to see that end, but it's not about Steph.

Steph is a cancer. Most of your argument is about Isiah. To be honest, I give Isiah more credit than Steph. I think Steph has done more disservice to the Knicks than any player in Knicks history.

That's coming on WAY too strong. For one thing Steph has been saddled with a situation in no way condusive to winning. Even if he bent over backwards to try and accomodate every coach we've had, this team still wasn't good enough to be very good.

Apparently you feel that this team was capable of being a top team if not for Steph messing things up? So tell me which team in which season should we have been a good team? Meaning we were a lock to be good, not merely hoping they'd be good if everything went right? Was it the Jamal, Nazr, TT & KT squad? That was probably the best shot we had to be a good team right away. I suppose that was all Steph's fault? The closest you can get in your argument is the LB season and even then the expectations weren't that this was gonna be some great team that season, but that we might be able to sneak into the playoffs in a best case scenario. But It certainly didn't help that Steph resisted LB like he did. You can't be talking about last year. Sure he had a rough start, but after that he played very good ball and the team was gradually getting better all season. I'm trying to see how you can back up your putting the blame on Steph, when there were other culprits on this team. Guys that collected a check and did nothing to hold up their end of the bargain.

You basically have 3 full seasons to judge him by and it was expected that it would take years to rebuild this team. We haven't won yet, but I don't think you can pin it down to Steph as the reason. He's just a convenient target. As i've said, show me the other guy who stepped up and helped this team win during his time here. One guy can't do it by himself. Now is not the time to be blasting Steph. We have a nice group and we'll be together for another season under the same coach. I think we'll see some improvement and that's a good thing. Let's just hope Steph plays like he did last year and we'll be in great shape.

Just for the heck of it to get involved, every team Marbury has been traded from, ended up winning 50 games the next season.
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

Its easy to criticize people.
Its easy to hate.

I try not to talk crazy on the internet, because I hate when people do it to me. Funny things is I could probably beat the holy living **** out of most people I encounter on the internets, but I dont think I should be talking big stuff behind a keyboard. That doesnt make me a man. And it doesn't make me feel good.

This makes me think about the guys who were throwing beer on Ron Artest in Detroit, and then ****ted on themselves when Guys came up in the stands. Think about the consequences of your actions.

If I had talked about Steph, I could invite him to my block for a peaceful meeting or for a fight. I can handle either one. But when you are so disrespectful, and you know you dont want a physical confrontation with someone, you are left in somewhat of an awkward position when that person confronts you. You are like the kid in the stands in Detroit, thiking about what youve done but its already too late. You have to change your tone, modify your language, show a little respect. These are all things you ought to have been doing all along.

Steph is my favorite player. I like his sneakers. I like his game. I dont think he is the anti-christ. And if Steph and Islesfan meet, I like Stephs chances. LOL! but I also think he was clearly buggin out on that show, calling his wife a 'better ho' was inappropriate, and I'd like to see him acknowledge that too. I think he could have handled the LB situation better too, although it was clearly instigated by LB.

There are appropriate ways to be critical of people. When men talk there should always be respect. When that respect is gone, be prepared for things to escalate.

Yikes, just checked out that comments section. That was a nightmare. Sad to see UK names attached to it. It's as if the ESPN boards bought out UK.

All I can say is that I'm glad to be associate with a message board whose voice is so prominent that a "star" athlete feels the need to a jab at him in his blog.

It's hilarious reading some of the posts on that blog where people clearly posted as someone else.

This whole thing has gotten way to much attention.

I just have a simple question. Is this the off season?

Why cant he go 1 single week without sticking himself in the media? He is totally addicted to it. He does this every year. I do not think he will leave the game willingly because he is 100% addicted to the attention.

Laugh if you want but I think he is going to try and get on a reality show next, lol.
Wow! Marbury goes back at Isles..
