lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Kam, we can't expect a bunch of guys who spend 5 hours a day talking about the Knicks on an internet chat forum to know too much about the way a woman's mind works.

Oh, wait, I'm one of those guys. Gotta go, wife is calling.

"- I saw one of my colleagues took on Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries and Jerome James for not being in Vegas for the veteran workout. I only agree with one of the three. In fact, I was the one who asked Isiah Thomas about Jerome and the fact that he's not there. Isiah tried to spin it as if to suggest Jerome might have things at home that keep him from spending a few days in Vegas with his teammates. Funny, those issues didn't come up during the all-star break, when James was in Vegas (as a tourist, of course).

I checked on Curry and I know he's been working out. He has a pretty elaborate home gym that the Knicks helped him set up and he regularly checks in with strength coach Greg Brittenham, who designed an offseason regimen specifically for him. Curry has also worked with renown fitness guru Tim Grover of Attack Athletics in Chicago. Grover has worked with many NBA players, including Michael Jordan. Quentin Richardson, who also lives in Chicago during the offseason, said Curry is working hard. "He'll be ready," Q said. Anyone listening to the broadcast last night heard Mark Aguirre say he's gone to Chicago to work out with Eddy and said "he's farther along than he was last year."

I will give Curry the respect that I trust he's taking his career serious enough to put in the offseason work. He promised his wife an anniversary trip. The guy is gone all season long, so I think it's fair to give his wife precedence in the summer. My wife would have preferred that I didn't have to go to Vegas, either!"

Thanks for posting Hahn's blog Andrew.

Actually, I think most of us do know and are disgusted by it. Men should stand up for themselves more.

Jared and Jerome should be there too. That's two players that desperately need as much work as possible because they suck right now.

Anyone remember that Clyde mentioning that he didn't play ball during the summer at all during his career? Just worked out on his own?

Clyde had basketball talent. Curry, on the other hand... Until he works on improving his flaws (conditioning is one of many), he will get criticized. Is he even working on conditioning? I'll believe it when I see it. If he comes into camp in shape, I'll believe something other than Curry ate donuts and watched the Simpsons movie all offseason.

Yup, he said that, so that he can just be in shape and that he'll literally be desperate to pick up a ball and stop lifting weights by the time training camps rolls around. He said he never lost a skill doing that, just as long as he was in shape, everything else will take care of itself. It made too perfect sense.

Were there any questions about Clyde's work ethic or conditioning at any point in his career? Much less for his entire career?

Yeah, because when the team gets together at summer league it isn't something planned out in advance.

When you have 5 months off and tens of millions of dollars, vacations can be planned that afternoon. Or maybe you think Curry is on Travelocity months in advance, booking his trip?

"Honey, I'm sorry but I have to postpone our trip for a few days. To make it up to you, we'll go away for 3 months instead of just 2."

Speaking of fat jokes. The Spurs fan have a site dedicated to Jackie Butler. My friend told me about it (Spurs fan). Good material.

Jackie Butler is so fat, Spurs fans have the option of buying cheap tickets called “Jackie Butler obstructed view” seats.

Jackie Butler is so fat, when asked about the stretch run for the Spurs until playoffs, Jackie Butler said “The words stretch and run dont exist in my vocabulary.”

Jackie Butler is so fat, his gut wears a cup.

Jackie Butler is so fat, he ate a 7 course meal without being called for a 24 second violation.

Jackie Butler is so fat, the reason the Spurs have the best winning percentage in all of major league sports is because Jackie Butler ate all the other teams.

Jackie Butler is so fat, when he was told that Manu was on fire from the field, he said “Argentinian steaks are best prepared on an open fire.”

Jackie Butler is so fat, when asked about playing with Oberto he said “Yes! I can finally eat beef jerky while playing ball.”

Jackie is so fat, when the other team’s coach cries for a 3 second lane violation the referees respond “What lane?”

Jackie is so fat, Pop has to call 2 timeouts just to get him to the scorers table.

You really going to tell me you stay in bed when your girlfriend wakes you for her morning walk?

I'm not really sure what you're talking about (maybe it's some analogy I don't get), but if my girlfriend wants or needs something, we discuss it and come to a compromise. We go for the best decision. A real woman can understand reason. In other words, if we have to postpone going out for a few nights because of work or whatever else, there's no issue. Some people are understanding. Others are your average women. I know we've become a feminist society; but it's not just the females, it's the males. If you actually believe that a man has no say in what, when and how things are done, then I'm sorry... you're p-whipped.

alan hahn responding to berman's article:

In fact, I was the one who asked Isiah Thomas about Jerome and the fact that he's not there. I will give Curry the respect that I trust he's taking his career serious enough to put in the offseason work. He promised his wife an anniversary trip. The guy is gone all season long, so I think it's fair to give his wife precedence in the summer. My wife would have preferred that I didn't have to go to Vegas, either!

I also respect Jeffries as a pro -- yes, I take shots at his shooting inability, but I never would say the guy is a bum -- and believe that he's also doing everything he should be doing. It's not like he'll become a better shooter by spending four days in Vegas.

Now Jerome...

I think this should be it for him. Twice he's showed up at camp not in top physical condition after the Knicks gave him an ill-advised five-year contract. To me, this is it. With no room on the roster for unusable bodies with hefty contracts, if James arrives in Charleston this October once again not in peak form -- in fact, if I'm Isiah, I'd like to see him in the best shape of his life, to show me he cares -- I'd cut him. Buy him out and send him on his way.

It's mind-boggling that anyone who gets that much money to play basketball for a living can't keep himself in top physical shape. Of the many NBA coaches and GMs and media types I met over the five days I was in Vegas, every single one shook their head when the topic of Jerome James came up. As one former player said, "Is it that hard?"

Its funny Berman says jump and the haters say how high.

Bermans motives are always slanted but that doesnt stop the haters since they look for crap to piggy back on.

Qrich says Curry has been working very hard this summer.

Aguire says that Curry has been working very hard this summer.
Bermans posts crap and the haters fall in to the Sh*% in their hurry to throw it.

Making sense and stating facts are out of bounds/against the rules, when it comes to bashing Curry. Dont waste your time.
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

Hasn't Curry worked with Grover for several years now?
