Zach won't take Eddy's shots and vice versa. The shots will come from other players who don't deserve to take as many shots. Honestly he's a PF and we needed a starting PF. He's like Frye on steroids. If we all expected and wanted Frye to work out how is it any different with Zach who is just a better version of Frye? The alternative is to have a PF who doesn't really have much of an offensive game and mostly just defends, but then when Curry is not in the game or is in foul trouble we have Zach there to more than fill in. It's a good problem to have.
We all may have had different ideas on what we thought would be best for this team, but seeing what Isiah has done I am on board with his choices. 20+/10 from Zach, some good young prospects and 2 expiring deals. Not bad.
it seems like alot of players on this team have to make some serious sacrifices to make this work. let's see if not only are they willing, but whether they can do it.
i wonder what eddy feels about this deal. he was told he was the franchise player last year, and he got the ball in the post every time down the court. now he has to share the ball and his role is somewhat changed (after only 1 season of establishing as the main focus).
sometimes you guys overanalyze. that was a good post by koz, too wordy and full of things we have heard over and over again, but back to your point, with zach on the blazers last year, Brandon Roy was able to flourish and win ROY award, jarret jack, aldridge were able to flourish and get shots, didn't seem like many of the blazers players had to adjust that much.....
