OK, I've figured it out, you guys are being purposefully obtuse to try and frustrate me and run me off the board.
So let me say this plainly...it won't work.
I don't know who this was directed at but nobody is out to get you, most of us barely know you. I don't think this is about YOU in the least.
One last time, its not the jokes, its that they are perpetuating a view of Eddy Curry that is inaccurate.
People used to tell me my assessments of Marbury were "untrue". In reality, they who thought so were merely uninformed.
Me thinks there are things about Eddy you simply are unaware of.

Blueseats, unfortunately I hunted through the links that UK point to for pre-season articles that refered to Curry, but the ones I was looking for no longer work.
This is the best I could do...
[quote]Curry also admitted to homesickness, and found solace back in the Windy City. He worked out diligently with Michael Jordan's former trainer, Tim Grover. He played daily pickup games with other N.B.A. players. He consulted Juwan Howard for tips on playing in the post. He spent weeks working with the Knicks assistant coach Mark Aguirre, refining his moves.
''This is probably the hardest I've seen him work,'' Quentin Richardson, a teammate and fellow Chicago native, said of Curry, who, he added, he has watched ''every summer since before he got in the league.''
''I think he worked and took it a little more serious this summer,'' Richardson said. ''I'm definitely expecting to see better things from 'E.' ''

Rem, most things in life are relative. Q saying he took things "a little more serious" is not the same as saying Eddy is a damn hard worker and his reputation for being lazy is wholly without merit. To my ears it sounds like he's saying that in the past Eddy has not taken things seriously enough.
Just to make a point, if the prior year Eddy ate 20 chili dogs a day, and the following off-season he cut down to 10 a day, one could validly say he's taking things "a little more seriously" while another could say he's still being irresponsible about his nutrition. Both sentiments can be simultaneously true, since they are relative.
I personally don't know how Eddy trains and eats, though I do know he has a reputation among coaches and players he's played with for not working hard enough. Listen, when a guy puts on weight as the season progresses you have to wonder what's going on. Pro ball amounts to a grueling amount of exercise that would shrink the average fatty down to a rail in a few months, but Eddy grows as the season evolves. What's up with that?
I actually think that if one is to be optimistic about Eddy they have to hope he's just been lazy and can turn it around with a change in mentality. But weight gets harder to manage as one gets older. If he's maxing out on his efforts and still continuing to grow it's an ominous sign for his future. He's only 24. If this is his max conditioning where will he be when he's 30?
