Like that was a hard prediction. The team was old, overpaid, starting to decline, and needed to be rebuilt. Yes how in the world did he ever make that prediction.

Funny but I don't remember too many people making that same prediction so I guess it was a lot harder than you think. Or you just refuse to give me any credit. Or more likely both.

How come you don't find Misterearl's act tired? Is it because you agree with him? I guess that's simple enough, but Earl is even more predictable, pointless, one-sided and repetitive than Isles is.

Misterearl has no cred whatsoever because he's the biggest fair-weather fan on this board. He's almost always absent after they lose. But then he shows up to boast after wins. Real fans care about their team whether they win or not.

Thanks for the word bro,ur right, dont know what I was thinking...anyway Misterearl is a fan and most fans come the cheer their team...Fans look for the positives in everything, even Big Turd...They hope every player on their team can be all stars...They get down after a loss and always ready to cheer for the next game..Definition of a fan...Misterearl is just that and thats cool with me...I look at the positives as well...Takes me some time to get negative but I try to be positive until I have a reason to be negative...If I was around during Layden, you guys would have thought I was a hater...But I always rooted for the team, and spewed hatred towards Layden and Dolan... I dropped my subscription to Cablevision because of Dolan...At Cablevision's office, I told them to tell Dolan fire Layden and sell the team or I won't be back...They thought I was nuts..But when you are rooting for the team to lose, I don't get that...

it's the former definition of fan. as blue said earlier, with all the info, the analysis, the "inside" stuff, the talk radio, and messageboards at our fingertips today...the fan has "evolved" into a much more educated animal about the game. this, in turn, results in fans becoming much more critical as well. the days of just sitting back and just cheering are slowly fading.

nobody came to watch the cap play in 1995, 1985, and 1975 b/c nobody knew about the cap in 1995, 85, and 75. but it's now 2007.

just like watching the matrix about 7 years ago had everyone wide eyed and going gaga...make that movie again today and those same special effects are now just a footnote.

Never was my intent. My intent was to acknowledge mistereal for seeing through all the b.s. that is/was being but forth in the original thread. This has nothing to do with where the Knicks are and where anybody wants them to be. And it certainly isn't about missesearl sticking to what he believes to be right, because he apparently believes in 2 completely opposite ideas. One, that the salary cap is meaningless hence, it ain't your money, and two, that dropping big contracts off the cap "should help".

Let's be clear, missesearl is avoiding the question because he knows he contradicted himself which proves that he's full of crap.

Thats is part of the problem. IMO this has turned into nothing but a hissy fit. I originally started this thread to give props to misterearl for the way he stayed on topic in the original thread because he has a view on the Knicks that I agree with.

Because misterearl refuses to explain his comment that lowering your salary cap "should help" when it seemingly contradicts a statement that he repeats constantly whenever anybody brings up the Knicks salary cap.

It never had to get to this. All he had to do was answer a very simple and harmless question.
