Steph even had the only block for the Knicks. Steph walking off alone....that does bother me. These guys have to play together, no time for jealousy but I understand how he might feel. Francis played very well but Steph should've been embraced also....even more so.

According to Cookdcokehop he was walking off to go see his family

with the way the team totally embraced francis, isiah hugging him, the players all over him...i'm starting to get the idea that francis may have had some real off court issues (possibly alcohol or something like that).

Yeah it was kinda odd because they really seem to like him a ton. Meanwhile Steph just trots off the court all alone avoiding the camraderie.

yeah i thought that's why he went to houston to rehab his knees with that guy who supposedly specializes in working with athletes with substance abuse problems or something like that.

but man I remember thinking, if we win this game, they better have a parade in the locker room ready for Steph and Steve, even balkman ripping down some key boards. those 2 carried us from the 4th quarter on. and I think steve's dunk was the first time I've seen him dunk in maybe a year

As if that couldn't have waited a few seconds. I don't buy that and there's no excuse for it especially if Steve has had to overcome personal problems. Remember Steph is on record for saying Steve was part of Larry's plan to usurp him so obviously at one point in time he looked at Steve with very cautious and vindictive eyes. Just shake or hug Steve along with the team and tell him thanks for helping contribute to a big win and bolt to the fam.

Can't...believe... Marbury... led... team... to... victory.......
twice in a row!

It really is a mind $#&*. Never did I think I'd see the day where Stephon Marbury threw the team on his back (In Screamin A Smith voice). Wow. Just wow. Now, let's see this last, because otherwise this ranks up there on the All-time tease list.

Those lousy Celtics have now beaten the Rockets, Knicks, and Nets, proving that with Pierce they are not that bad.

If I'm reading this right, if Dallas beats Orlano, we'll be tied with Orlando; one half game behind NJ; 2 1/2 games behind Miami and 4 1/2 games behind Toronto. Is that right?

http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html
They're a full game behind NJ

Don't look now, but if Indy loses tonight against the Clips, we're only 2 1/2 games behind them too.

Now Toronto has been playing much better and more consistent than the other teams we're chasing, but with 3 remaining games against them, anyone have enough koolaid in their system to believe we still have a shot at the division?
*Note* I believe Toronto will pull away with it before anyone jumps on me for it.

We need NJ to go down in the worse way. I guess the Nets are over their lockroom problem.

STEPH WAS GREAT tonight! I was at the game and I really don't know what all this talk about steph walking off alone is about. This guy is LEADING THIS TEAM TO WINS! Don't try to throw salt on this great performance he's been giving this franchise since the Brawl. This guy deserves our respect and he's doing the things so many have been begging for. It's time to put all that other crap to bed.

As for the Nets. I posted about their upcoming schedule before and it's going to be brutal:

Mar 3 Bos
Mar 4 at Phi
Mar 6 at Dal
Mar 9 at Hou
Mar 10 at SA
Mar 12 at Mem
Mar 13 at NO/OKC

After that they've got some more tough games too. We can pass them if we just do what we should the rest of the way.

Good win, I'm glad they got the W, but aside from Steph/Francis, this team didn't play all that well and that worries. It seems to me that every time Francis plays well, the rest of the team doesn't. I don't know, maybe it's just a perception on my end. Anyone else notice this? The Hawks are a bad team and this should be a walkover win, the Knicks had problems, BUT it was the second night of back to backs so that has to be factored it. Glad to escape with the W.

That Hawks are just the kind of team that can give us trouble. LOADS of athletic perimeter players and a SUPERIOR shooting guard. That's the kind of team that tgives us trouble due to the make up of our teams perimeter D. The Hawks aren't very experienced, but with SO MANY of our guys not available, this would go down as a GOOD win. Q, Jamal, Lee and Nate is a lot to overcome, with 2 banged up old Guards.

Don't worry. It's not going to last.

Celtics are 15-18 with Pierce, 2-24 when he doesn't play. yeah, he makes a slight difference. oh, yeah, Pierce has played in every Knicks/Celtics game this season.

went to the game tonight. Marbs was a beast

Francis was a hell of a sidekick.

Balkman was impressive 12/13 and guarded Zaza when they went small

Jeffries was a defensive factor, he made Joe Johnson work hard tonight..

Nice win...

Go knicks..

Can anybody do me a favor and find a picture of Steph's three point play in overtime? I couldn't believe how high and how long he was up in the air. He can still jump!! Anybody else think that's great news?

If you watch the replay his inside foot was planted on Josh Smith's thigh. I think he helped himself to a boost. try and get a picture from the opposite angle and you'll see it. You can't on the camera under that basket.
