I have no problem with what curry said. He backs his coach who put his job on the line by giving up so much obtaining curry. Jermane Oneal would be a spur had he not got duped into signing before they canned Isiah....

Who did he threaten???? Please tell me, where it is at........
All he said was if Isiah goes, I want to go to. Where is the threat???? Do tell where the I'll force the knicks to keep Isiah of this "threat" is at.

Damn at the end of the article he says alot of will probably be traded if Isiah is gone and the new GM/coach come in.... where is the threating at???? Is that another one??? IS Curry saying he is going to get the team traded too!!!!

Boy some of you are horrible.......

anji, please stop being naive. eddy is being told he's the franchise by isiah and now steph. so for him to say "if isiah's gone, then i want to go", he directly using his stature on the team to send a message.

Its paranoia to think Eddy has an agenda and he's using his stature to send a message. He responded to a reporters question. Thats not a pre-meditated thing where he wants to send a message.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i don't think the statements are that big a deal. but i don't think it was completely an innocent remark.

"if you don't serve ribs, then i'm not coming over to dinner."
"if you don't do the dishes, then you'll get grounded."
"if you fire isiah, then i want to be traded."
"if your naughty, then santa won't give you presents."

it's a threat at the very core of the definition.

does this incident remind anyone of malik rose's comments about the team's trend- overhyping successes and letting themselves down for the next game?

nice 2 game win streak no question. keep it up and people will take you seriously eddy.

i think you guys are making a bigger deal out of this than needs be. But, to me, it's nice to see a team completely back their coach rather than so many athletes who are constantly at odds with the coach - always complaining about playing time, treatment, etc

It's funny. Before I opened the thread, I knew the typical Curry bashers would pick apart his quote and edit in thier own interpretations and use it against him.

Last yr, this board was in an uproar when the players didn't support the coach. This yr, we have a player in Curry who goes to bat for his coach and still most are in an uproar. Plenty of players, some better and others on par with Curry's talents have expressed alot of the same support and loyalty towards their coaches. He should be appluaded in this day and age for showing the support that you guys wanted the players to show last yr.

Misquote: "if you fire isiah, then i want to be traded."

Actual quote: "i'd be shocked, i'd be angry, i'd be trying to get out"

You dont know he'd demand a trade, maybe he'd agree to a buyout

Or perhaps Curry was saying he'd come OUT, like Amaechi.

See you fat boy we don't need you, he has seriously accomplished nothing in the nba to make a statement like that. He'll probably take the same stance if Jamal is traded.....

Curry, Crawford, Nate for Joe Johnson and Josh Smith....

The funny thing about all the Curry bashing is...

1. Most of it stems from what people perceive as too much given up in order to acquire him:
- Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney, Tyrus Thomas, and a pick swap this year.

2. If Curry would have had a similar season to this one before we got him in a trade we would have had to give up something more along the lines of Tim Thomas, Frye, Tyrus Thomas, Lee, and our 1st year to have the Bulls even consider giving up Curry.

I'll probably be criticized for even implying we got a good deal with the Curry trade... but it's turning out to be that way.

Curry please just keep your mouth shut. Let your game do your talking you want Isiah to stay than lead the team into the playoffs and shut your mouth. Since the Knicks aren't exactly on that path right I'll reiterate the words of another learned poster "STFU"!

Its not worth it. Just ignore the bs and talk basketball. You cannot convince someone that does not want to be convinced.
