Just got back from the game. Met djsu at the half by section 404. Cool cat. I can't believe he told me that he writes his blog from memory. Crazy.

As for our Knicks the team is starting to look just like that word...team. Sure, the Sixers are a joke, and have NO OFFENSE but the old Knicks would have let the Sixers back in the game when they cut it to 9.

Marbury deserves credit. I think he played great tonight. Seriously. On both ends of the floor, and Curry is unstoppable down low. Good passing throughout, for the most part, cutting down on the bone headed plays. Defense is still not good, but seems better. I also saw Curry doing a good job on the boards, leaping for the rebounds, instead of standing there, AND he was WATER from the line. I thought he had only missed one but he was 8-10. That's damn good, and you can just see his confidence growing. I even saw him doing a good job of challenging his man (Dalembert) one-on-one with hands up, and no stupid fouls.

The crowd was BOOOOOING big time at the refs tonight, especially Salvatore over a few plays with Steph, where I thought he was going to get a tech. One fan near me in the 200's was yelling "Salvatore you suck!!" over and over again, and there were a lot of kids in the crowd tonight, so security came over and told him to tone it down. Can't recall seeing that ever, to be honest. In fact this game against the lowly Sixers was "sold out," (although still a decent amount of empty sears) according to djsu, and I noticed a significant crowd difference and increasing number of celebrity sightings, from the last few games I have been to, which was before the fight, although I still feel like it is not a normal MSG crowd, and more like people taking advantage of the CHEAP tickets ($10 tickets available still for many games). The calls from the refes there were questionable and got some boos, but the one where Curry was doing a good job of defending Iggy going to the rack...well more like flailing...in the 4th when the Sixers were making a run, and Eddy really didn't touch him received the biggest "BOOOOOOOOO" I've heard. Yet, you saw that on a Sixers offensive sequence soon afterwards, Green faked out Jeffries into the air, and clearly drew a foul, but the refs said nothing, and on another questionable turnover against the Knicks Salvatore went over and told another ref to change the call, which got cheers.

Screw Webber. I don't see what we would do with him. Keep the team as is unless something brilliant falls in our lap, and let the yoots cultivate with Marbury our constant gardener, who is making me eat my words from earlier in the season. Can they keep it up? Is this team built to win over time? Who knows, but this is more fun than I've had in years as a Knick fan....watching the team grow, and feeling like they may be starting to get somewhat decent.

The naysayers will keep saying what they want, I know that, but for now I see more positives than negatives for now. I just wonder what will happen with the Francis situation. Marbury is shining without him, but the notion of a buyout otherwise sounds nuts (and I heard that Francis and his agent have said that this rumor is bs).

Great win by the Knicks tonight. I know the Sixers suck but this year the Knicks are actually beating teams they are supposed to beat, unlike past years. Everyone seemed to play pretty well, especially Curry and Q, great to have Q back. Marbury played a good game, although some of his turnovers had me scratching my head, but he played well none-the-less. Next game, another team we should beat so let's beat em.

Killa is 1 for 1 on his 6 wins in a row prediction. I'm hoping this team still has the streak going into the game Nets game that we're attending next Friday!

I thought frye played great tonight. My main gripe is when the right people dont play. JJ is the person I can figure out why he gets time.

Now might be a good time to trade Frye while his value is high for Brian Skinner.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Frye's jumper was water tonight, and he boarded, but he had trouble guarding Smith sometimes, which I think was why he got pulled in the first quarter for Q, when he was hitting his shots. I think Frye has some nice post moves, but he only seems to finish that slow one where he gets in the lane and stops 5 feet from the rim and makes his move. When he makes the quick moves which look really nice, the ball seems to constantly go in and out. Hopefully, that can be fixed with some fine tuning.

Or better yet, Brian Cook...haha. djsu mentioned to me at the game again about his Brian Cook comparison, but I told him I'm not buying it. Cool cat though. Could have talked longer, but the half was coming to an end.

He really isn't going hard on the inside...Seems like he is thinking about his two last injuries..He seems very conscious about how he lands in traffic..I guess it will take time..Can't blame the guy I guess, he wants to stay on the floor..

I like the fact that Isiah is giving Frye some different types of looks. He is certainly capable of a more diverse offensive repertoire than just spot up shots...but he sure had that spot up shot going tonight! And when he has it going it becomes very hard to double Curry.

curry will get doubled if JJ is on the floor at all times. I have never had a problem with fyre offensive game I just think if he stays active like he was tonight he will have a great second half of the year.

nice win. curry was efficient, fyre hitting jump hooks over dalembert and jumpers off the dribble... I knew he had that in him. Lee still consistent, just would like to see him get more of jeffries minutes who did play well himself...

Marbs was good again...

go knicks.

That could be important. We need Frye to play like the guy we thought he was going to be as a rookie.

For this team to be good they need to be consistent. Frye has all the talent in the world and if we can get 14 and 8 from him ann block a few shots, Lee get close to a double- double, and JJ to put in his 3 pts and 5 board we are set.

haha, i thought you were going to punch me in the face after i said that. but in this offense, he has been regulated to a jumpshooter. which is unfortunate b/c his post game is VERY nice and polished. but with eddy out there, he gets very little opportunity to use it. and when did he get to use it last night? when eddy was off the court with foul trouble.

game wasn't that exciting last night. the crowd was somewhat lethargic after the big lead at the half. only one discernable defense chant and it wasn't that inspired. it was a reverse type of game last night...where we built up the big lead early and then just cruise controlled it to the victory. philly really doesn't have anybody that great so even though we gave them some opportunities to get back into it, we would tighten up our defense and they just couldn't hit a shot. korver was kind of abusing jeffries though, including a move where he took it right to him to score a layup. that was suprising.

no "LIVE from..." tonight tho. work is kind of busy and i won't be getting home till late tonight. plus with a game tomorrow, i might as well just do one then.

BUT there may be a surprise recap after this evening...so i'll keep you posted.

haha. tis lame indeed...but i am only human. plus, i would say for the majority of the 2nd half, i wasn't even really paying that much attention. i was involved in some heavy conversation with ZD (who attended as well). so i don't remember most of the stuff from the 2nd half.

although presike did a bang up job with his recap.

Remember how the past 3yrs we would blow every 4th quarter win no matter who we'd play? The fact that this team is closing out games is encouraging in itself

mindboggling stat about the sixers...

they have played 35 games and are 9-26
of those 35 games 23 have been on the road.
that's NUTS.

their road record is 5-18.

so if they were even a mediocre team, they could put together a major run soon as they have 29 more home games remaining, about 5-9 more than the rest of our division. and they are still only 6.5 games back.

unreal.

This is one of the worst divisions in NBA history. That is an insane schedule. If they win a few games, who knows. This division is so bad, I can't say that it's out of the question.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
