Quincy Douby will never play PG in the NBA, he is a combo guard and a scoring guard, completely different player than Marcus Williams

all the more puzzling as to why the Kings would have passed up on Marcus Williams, wouldn't you say?

I don't really think so, its not like Bibby is old and the Kings really don't have a glaring need for a PG. The Celtics are the only team that you can question IMO as to why they didn't draft Marcus and most people on this board have said that they think Ainge is a terrible GM. The Knicks were and have been crap team and needed to take the BPA no matter what. Marcus was by far the BPA

so Philly & the Pacers were right in taking Carney & Shawne Williams respectively ahead of the "BPA by far" Marcus Williams who just happened to play the position they needed more depth in, but somehow the Knicks weren't even though they had an obvious glut at the same position? aren't you judging the Knicks using a double standard here?

Carney and Shawn Williams are both players that I would have rated higher than Marcus Willliams. I thought Marcus was a top12 lottery talent and I would have put both of those players ahead of him. Those teams both have PG's, the Knicks to this day still only have 1 and the only PG they have they drafted at the end of the first round. There is no double-standard. The Knicks had 0 PGs at the time of the draft and needed to draft one.

ur dealing in semantics now... the Knicks had 2 guys in Marbury & Francis that you know damn well would be playing out of the PG position this season (before Isiah decided to go w/that "Walt-Earl the Pearl" backcourt *rolling eyes*)... they also had Nate as the backup PG as well as Jamal who would fill some minutes at PG.

if there's something the Knicks truly needed but failed to address out of that draft, it was for a shotblocker... PG was the least of their concerns... if you want to argue that Marcus was the BPA after 12, then there were 8 other teams that whiffed on him.

If anyone respects Bryan Colangelo as a talent evaluator, watch that video. Im pretty sure some might have already seen it. Very good clip about what goes on behind the scenes and what Colangelo did to try to acquire Marcus Williams.

Marcus Williams would be a typical Knick point guard in that he plays no defense. No thanks.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
