I'm glad so many guys feel so certain that they know how these guys are going to perform in the big leagues. I have to admit, I have no idea. I'm tempted to say "why don't we just wait and see" who does well the next few seasons before we judge these picks, but I know we have to talk about something for the next four months while we wait for the regular season to begin.

https:// It's not so hard.

Sometimes i think people on this board are brain dead.....Isiah clearly makes an excuse for a terrible pick and some of you defend him by saying you don't take talent and you fill a need....Comparision to Steve Francis are so ****ing off base its scary....

Marcus Williams is a pg who distributes the ball, unlike Francis he tries to get people involved. You let him play in summer league and you have an asset that you can package to get better.....

Lowry is a tenacious defender has a ton of heart and is a leader.....In three years he would be one of the better floor generals and on ball defenders somehting we really need....

We are in the worst position in the franchises history because of Isiah and you still openly support him......

And Amare averaged 37 pts against Duncan in the conference finals so please don't make stupid assements that he doesn't have an array of ways to score the basketball, a hook a nice medium range jumper and beating someone off the dribble down the floor or with a spin move, is more than nearly every big man his size, Duncan, Garnett and Dirk are the only players at the position that have offensive skills that are ahead of the guy

I assume this is addressed to me. All I have to say is that most of the "array of ways" moves you described have been made up out of your mind. My favorite one is his beating his man off the dribble. That was amusing.

Amare Stoudamire is a power player plain and simple. That is what makes him special, not highly developed skills. He basically has one move and that is to jump over his defensive man and dunk it, lay it in, or shoot a short shot. He has an okay mid-range jumper but it was not consistent when he last played. That is fine though because his athletic ability makes him an offensive monster.

Now lets put your little theory to the test: If Amare Stoudamire cannot jump and explode anymore, who has more moves, he or Maurice Taylor?

I sincereley hope he has developed these moves that you came up with, there were reports that he developed some new things during last summer, but unfortunately he could not play this past season. Maybe you though Boris Diaw was Stoudamire? That must be it!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

The question remains

Given the Pacers guard situation, why did Donnie Walsh pass on Marcus Williams?

i'm sorry he didn't get the ball at the top of the free throw line and explode by duncan, yes your right, for some reason some people don't think before they post go watch the series again if you can....

Your posting on an assumption, Taylor can't get by anyone he may have a few post moves, but part of having an offensive game is being able to beat your man with speed which Amare is the best in the league at his postion at. Before he got hurt he was the most explosive jumper at his position, which allowed him to consitently go past his man on the block, off the dribble meaning he would take two dribbles and be by his man for a dunk
