Brown made irrepairable mistakes with our players and management. I predicted this on another forum and just have a weird feeling that Zeke can manage the ego's here, much better. Some of the players here (Nate, Steph, JC) really look up to Isiah, because of what he's accomplished on the floor as a player. I think he's going to commmand a different type of respect from these guys. He's been in the trenches, played hurt, been a star. When he says he's been there and done it, he means literally. Not from the bench, not as coach who's perceived by some as an egomaniac. Or a guy who jumps ship, whenever the mood suits. Everything stops with Isiah, this is make or break time.

Good move? Long term, I'm not sure. I'd bet the house that we improve by leaps and bounds next season though.

same way he managed Ron and Jamal's ego?

Point taken, but can anyone tame Ron Ron? The guy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

This is just pathetic. I don't even know what else to say, there are just so many things I could say about James Dolan tenure as owner of this team... the guy has turned this franchise into one of the 5 worst in sports in his tenure here and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. The guy has complete and total faith in Isiah Thomas who has been given the GREEN LIGHT to ruin this organization time and time again with his moves and now he's going to coach this team? I am at a complete loss for words right now.

I feel like James Dolan is holding a pillow over my face and everytime I'm about to start breathing again, he puts the pillow back. Repeat. Repeat.

Good riddance...It was either trade the entire team or get rid of Brown...This route is easier...

Let Isiah coach and see what we have.

Right, cause there's really no way to know after just Lenny, Herb and Larry. Everyone knows it takes at least four coaches to get a read on a club.

Marv: What is anyone expected to do with Mo Taylor, Steve Francis, Jalen and Malik Rose, Jamal, Q, JJ (sorry, Game!)?
BENCH them. They'll have to decide to play the right way or remain on the bench. And while they're benched, play the guys who play hard. (That applies to everyone except Malik who plays hard but has no game.) Just to be clear, most of those players should NOT even be here, and it's Isiah's fault that they are. But that's a separate issue. The issue of what a coach should do with those players is crystal clear: Require them to play hard or not play at all. What Larry did was create an atmosphere of laziness by playing the lazy players and giving minimal minutes to the hard workers.

Holfresh your excitement after a 23-59 season and a hall of fame coach going out the door is utterly disgusting.

Bro, I'm excited because I know we won't be 23-59 again...The reason for that is going out the door, I hope he doesn't let it hit him....YES!!!!

Why it's so hard to see that Brown dug his own grave? It would be one thing to have a season like this past and concede that this was a learning experience. But Next-Town went out of his with voicing displeasure with just about every player on the roster. How many bosses are going to continue allowing backlash? The idea was simple, make it work.. How many casual fans questioned the moves and commments by our HOF'er?

As much as I don't like the revolving door, Brown over-estimated his clout, simple as that.

Dolan has taken this whole debacle and trumped himself.

This is truly the dumbest turn of events in professional sports history.

Who is to be the GM?

Since isiah was so lackluster at either job, now he has both?

Wasn't we told 100 times Isiah won't coach this team?

Isiah will be the 5th coach in 2.5 years! Clown like.

This organization is so screwed up I just can't stand it anymore.

This sucks because this is what Brown wanted from the beginning. Making money along the way. Brown doesn't walk away from contracts. He either runs for more money or gets broughtout. Done this his entire career. There must be alot more behind the scenes then is being release. Thomas was trying to protect Brown from Dolan but by accounts Dolan was in on alot of those meetings with Brown and Thomas. Dolan admits to being a Knick fan before a Ranger fan and look what he allowed Sather to do and for how long. Dolan had a problem with the constant changing lineups, if Brown came to him with Isiah saying how we need to get Rose and Francis. And then promptly went on to bashing these players in addition to Marbury and others then Dolan was a first hand witness to Brown's antics. Its funny when it goes bad for Brown it isn't just players, its GMs and Owners making complaints. Something to be said about that. Brown's anti-social behavior has gotten the best of him.

I hope LB does go away. This way all the starbury fans can watch us reach new levels of mediocrity. I wonder if Stephanie will buy into Isiah's system, after he didnt buy into Mike D'Antoni's, wouldnt play D for Lenny and didnt buy into Larry Browns. Hmmm... I'm pretty close to just not watching basketball.

I'm gonna play the skeptic and say that I think this is probably a lot of B.S.

Sure, the RUMOR could be discussed, but I just don't see how this move would solidify the Knicks future any more than if he stays, for now. One season is just not enough time, especially when you pay the guy $60 million to turn the franchise around, and have so many players with poor work ethic and attitudes. Why not see if Brown is willing to make adjustmnts to his approach and add more defensive minded players?

Of course, Isiah is on thin ice and may be in panic mode but I don't see how he coaching is going to make this team that much better. Maybe I'm wrong, but based on these points I'm gonna take this rumor to be what it is at this point...a RUMOR about a DISCUSSION of POTENTIALLY buying Brown out.

My conspiracy theorist side says LB did this on purpose so he could get bought out.

I would rather have Adelman- can we trade LB for Adelman? I don't think we should rush to buy him out- personally, I'd call Sac Town and ask if they'd like to interview LB and try to lessen any payments-

I was going to post a poll about this-

If any other coach had this record and did the things that LB did (rotations, line ups, comments in press), would they last past the summer?

No Way.

Hate to say it, but brown should not get a pass.

And here is the thing that highlights why Brown should go

Frye was voted 1st rookie team, yet LB did not have him on the active roster for the first game of the year.

Fish at what point do you realize that this isn't just a Marbury thing. My god man, the owner has issues with the coach that probably goes beyond one particular player. Marbury isn't omnipotent. Hell when Marbury was on the DL the Knicks played some of their worst games. Brown has been accused of sabtoging the team by the Detroit and Philly press. That's not Marbury's fault. When Brown was attacking Francis or Nate was that Brown. Problems between Brown and Dolan is that Marbury's fault. Brown issue is that he has multiple people on different levels of the organization coming at him. Hell you don't know if there are assistant coaches taking shots at the guy to the owner. Other execs in the organization have been pushing Dolan to buyout Brown. At some point this can't just be about Marbury not playing defense or liking Brown style of play. It has to be about the Brown as a person himself.
