12pts 8reb 4blks for Jackie
15pts 6reb 2blks for Frye

I hope Larry is paying attention to this.

anyone else think it's weird that this is the 5th out of 8 pre-season games and the rookies have finished EVERY game? wouldn't you think Larry would want to get his starters in ONCE to finish a game and execute plays in tight situations.

To me, Channing has earned starter PF position with 30+ minutes and Jackie , right now has earned his way into the top 4 guys over James as of now. It isnt 1 game--he has done this 3 or 4 times already. he his huge 6-9 265 with a 7-2 wingspan, he gets right to the point of attack with a soft touch and does damage and for 20 he s a solid defender already.

I agree. I'd like to see

Marbury
Craw
Ariza
Frye
Curry.

And, Briggs, Frye is 6'11", man! come on!

Yeah, hes 6-11 jackie butler is 6-9 265

Id go this--12man r play 10-12 guys at the start of the season to keep everyone injury free and fresh. Quality depth is like our jab, we can work it and it will pay off later in the year. c-Curry
F Frye
F Ariza
G Crawford
G Starbury
C James
F Butler
F Davis
F Taylor
G -Q
G Nate

Guys who are defintely out of the rotation -imho

Malik rose, Penny hardaway with Lee as a guy who can come in for energy at times at 3-4-5

Frye is a very promissing young man...I see him as a combo of Duncan and Sheed...

wow! guys came to play tonight!

good game from everyone involved. And excellent coaching too (I can't believe I'm saying that).

Jamal definitely stepped it up and played the LB way tonight. Also made clutch shots in the 4th (probably felt bad bout that stupid airball. An airball?! c'mon man...). Although I couldn't see it, I'd wager he played improved defense as well.

Frye - I always knew he wouldn't have trouble scoring. But it seems like he's almost automatic. In the 4th when it counts, he swishes two j's! He's not ready to start, but that's still good to see.

Congrats guys!

Yeah, Lee has to get in the game...Mo and Rose we don't need anymore. We can use one of them in a trade. Penny and Mo or Penny and Rose can bring us a pretty good player and picks..

you know what makes a good team, when you can dominate along the frontline--with the horses wehave right now, we can really bring it

i dont think we need any roster moves as of right now, we need to settle into a chemistry--a cohesive line up, that for us might be 11-12 guys

its also good that we wont have to rely on starbury as much, he can gell in as a piece rather than a guy who needs to carry us

craw the last two games hasnt gotten back to craw of the last 10-15 games of last year

sign jackie butler and trevor ariza to long term deals

ariza--5 years 25 mm

Butler 4 years 10mm

I agree with all this, except that I think Craw is doing a great job playing the Larry Brown style of ball.

I didn't see the game tonight, but yesterday was the first time I saw Craw use his long arms and hops for defense and rebounding.

Yup, that's what I meant. He played a real all around game and he's gonna start stealing passes like crazy.

totally hear you on this. i've been noticing how we've been outrebounding teams by a lot in the preseason games.

great pickups by the knicks - frye, james, curry. plus the emergence of butler. and the kick on the boards that lee adds. man we totally built a power game in one year without sacrificing any of the perimeter guys we had - in fact, we added q and nate to them.

man, if marbs, craw and nate consistently use their abilitees to take their man off the dribble and then look to set up the bigs . . . .

I am SO sick of hearing BS like "it's just preseason"

Well then why are the rest of our bois playing hard and to win?

Why is Nate diving for loose balls...and Frye using his muscle in the paint.

Why is Crawford playing efficient team basketball...rebounding the ball and playing D?

So what you're saying is that Marbury gets a pass b/c he's the "franchise" player...

Ohhhhh.....so THAT'S what they mean by leading by example.

Idiots.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You really think Ginobili, Duncan and Parker were treating this like a regular season game? Neither was Marbury. The beauty of the kids is they don't know better. And Craw HAS to play the "right" way or he won't start. Marbury has his job locked down.

How can you possibly be bitter over a solid showing from the entire team???? (except DLee)

Veterans know that their is a difference between preseason and the regular season.

Duncan took 7 shots in in 26 minutes and finished with 9 points. Think he was playing like the regular season Tim?

Ginobili shot FOUR TIMES in 21 minutes. He finished with 3 POINTS.

These are allstar players we're talking about here. Point blank, veterans know how to pace themselves to gear up for an 82+ game season. Some will play closer to 100 games.

There IS a difference.

Here is a few more for you:

One of last seasons leading scorers, Peja, played 27 minutes and scored a whopping 7 points.

Allstars:

Chauncey (last year's finals MVP) dropped 6 points in 26 minutes tonight.

Rasheed scored 5 points in 25 minutes tonight.

Wade dropped in a whopping 10 points in 32 minutes.

Other mentionables:

Antoine Walker (say what u will but this guy averages 20 plus every year) dropped 4 points in 26 minutes

Gary Payton 3 points in 29 minutes.

So does Steph deserve a 'pass' in preseason? I'd say yes. Because if not we'll be looking at a bunch of allstars from last season going from elite to total bums this season. You be the judge.

Big Game just has to be in the vicinity for someone to get knocked the hell down!

Show 'em all that you're a KNICK now, Malik!

If it's not on TV, we're sure to win!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
