My favorite Houston moment was game 6, 1999 against Indiana when he absolutely destroyed the Pacers.

BTW, if anyone has a copy of this game and is willing to mail it to a fellow poster, I'll put you on my A-List forever and ever. I've been dying to watch that game forever now, as well as a few others.

1. of course "THE SHOT" against Miami

2. Game 6 of the ECF against Indy, Houston was unstoppable. I think he dropped 32, and he carried us into the Finals...THANK YOU ALLAN

Its tough because you knew this was going to happen, and that it would be for the best of the Knicks, but its really sad to see him go. A sad day indeed. Allan, you will be missed a lot. A great guy, I hope you have a great life off the court.

And keep working out, you never know...

h20 was the sole reason to be a knick fan during the layden era.

he pretty much had the best jumpshot in the league for a two year period, hands down.
this guy was dropping 30/40/50 point nights the 2nd half of 02/03 shooting jumpers over people's heads.

he was good player for us and a playoff performer. all hate towards him stemmed from his contract. and unfortunately, that will be his knick legacy.

i loved h20, probably my 2nd favorite knick next to ewing.

layden's fingerprints on this team are officially gone.

it is kind of ironic that i was one of the few people who defended houston in the past five years but i am still happy he is retiring. i am glad that people are finally giving him the respect he deserves. he was a great teammate who did more than people realize. he, unlike other people that others mentioned, played with an incredible pain tolerance ( remember that major ankle injury in the ecf in 2000 against indy? nasty.) he was probably the best shooter that i have ever seen next to miller. he was an underrated playoff performer ( i think he avg. 23ppg in playoff play). it was a shame that we got him during ewing's diminished years. true, he wasn't a player to build a team around which is what dolan tried to do.but not many true 2 guards are. that stretch from 99-03, he was still ranked in the top ten of 2-guards in the league with some years in the top 5. he is currently my top three favorite knick of all time. true fan to a tee ( probably the only one on this board to go and see his trash of a movie " black and white" at the movie theaters). i wish him luck ( i see him commentating in the near future/ definately not acting :) )
fav. h20 moments:

2.)dropping 30 pts. along with spree on the confused atlanta hawks in the ecsf in 1999. he was on the receiving end of an alley-opp from spree. they ran that team up and down the floor. great moment when steve smith was frustrated and screamed back at lenny wilkins during a time-out.

1.)dropping 53 points on the lakers. i hate kobe the most out of any player and i know hate is a strong word. he is arrogant and conceited and my peak of hate reached when he came to the garden and ddid a reverse dunk over spree and the rest of the knicks. i went to that game with a lakers fan and heard it for the rest of the ride home. so later that year when we got that team again, believe i was feeling great when i watch espn and houston did his around the back layup against the lakers and dropped 53 pts. for a win. we embarassed them but houston did it in such a business- like fashion. not showboating like kobe. that is one of the main reasons i respect houston.
