Yep, his slip is showing because his expertise is in business diplomacy rather than a learned diplomat, Probably could make that transition in time but...

Feel bad for Tillerson. he's obviously not deeply versed in all international issues and he's skirting around on some questions but he is a accomplished, mature and well respected person. Gates and Rice support his nomination , Im sure he's a quick learner and be a very good statesman in time but rather see an experienced hand given looney tunes , succeeding Kerry should be an opportunity to upgrade

He also has personal spending issues running up major person debt with two homes and a speed boat, among other things which ran him into major hot water...It seems a bit immature...

Trump handing his company over to his kids is a big deal...He won't divest...He promised to give profits from the Hotel in Washington to the Treasury...He hasn't paid taxes in 2 decades, he certainly have the accountants to hide any profits in structure of his businesses that's already aren't paying taxes..It's just laughable...

Did you see where he said he would put US forces in Crimea as a defensive posture....And if they get shot at, what WWIII??..I know the goal is to make Obama look weak, but dude come on...

I get that he has no clue about foreign policy and it might take some time..But it isn't like Trump will be cluing him in either...

Ive been watching the hearing I think he was answering about what would be his stance post the Crimean annexation. I remember him criticizing our awareness of what was happening and that our response was weak . I may be wrong but thought his answer was about putting troops on Ukranian's borders beyond Crimea as they had decided in a referendum to join the Russian federation by 3/14. I may be wrong, ill try to read the script somewhere. Ill give him this much, he is smooth and has handled himself well despite not being fully versed

Rubio kinda summed up my concerns. Tillerson is a accomplished and distinguished man but being grabbed off the shelve and thrusted into arguably the second most important position is concerning especially with looney tunes at the top.

I do know that it is right to have these public hearings but I do think that asking some of these questions about labeling leaders and countries as war criminals, human right violators etc while proper puts any candidate in a awkward position because he the truth while wanted can be conversely damaging to dealing with the same

Rubio is catering to his Cuban base in South Florida like any politician would...What's striking is the hypocrisy of criticizing Obama dealings with Iran when Exxon was dealing with Iran thru secondary companies even with sanctions...He did the old I don't recall on that one...

It's kind of comical of you point out Rubio concerns..When Obama does the same thing with Saudi Arabia, Turkey and others, you Republicans on this board talk about how Obama has abandoned our friends in the Middle East...Tillerson has said as much too..Truly comical...

Try to follow the point without the name calling lest you know my voting record. I find Tillerson's inexperience to be concerning and Rubio is pointing that out.

Neither President Obama or Kerry have called Putin a war criminal because they understand that charge has far ranging ramifications. The question by Rubio is a very awkward one for Tillerson to answer and even President Obama would admit that .

I made no point about Russia in the last post..Rubio's point was also about "moral clarity"..I brought up Obama to show his version of moral clarity with regards to his dealings with the Middle East..

My concern about Tillerson inexperience and readiness to be sos was very clear but I'll let you know if I start becoming concerned about the degree of his moral compass

MARTIN ,

La la land starts off as a light spirited romantic musical and is a bit boring at first as the storyline is slow to develop . It starts to pick up in the second half as it gets more serious. Really enjoyed the last third .

I like Gosling and Stone and their chemistry on screen. I thought I was going to tell you it was just ok but came around to like it and glad I saw it

hope you enjoyed my new formatting lol
