If Ja has an infatuation with gangs, he is a fool I'm from the Bronx NY. Bronx despite what many people have heard has great, great people. However, the idiots involved in crime ruin it for the majority and no one more then for themselves and their families.

Ja might want to wisen up. Some people don’t play nice

I remember seeing Paul pierce very late at night at the casino. He had the entire table to himself along with body guards. Now it makes since. I was like who is this walking around with all those bodyguards.

Fast forward to Maryland and I saw AI at the casino. As you can tell, I go to casinos late at night. AI was there with like one person.

It’s one thing to be out late, but for an nba player out late at the casino, you’re a major target. Not sure if the stabbing was related. Just wanted to show my few in counters with nba players.

AI is a legit 6’ with shoes on. We are the same height, but his shoulders looked a little taller and arms long as hell. 🤣

I think the Pierce thing happened at the club during a dispute with a rapper (name escapes me). But you right, these guys can't be too careful. Remember Cleanthony getting shot in the strip club?

Jah flaunting it which potentially becomes a magnet for trouble.
Nothing good happens after 2am.
The CBA brief posted in this thread was interesting. He is not penalized as a citizen, but his employment spells out conduct and weapons are not permissible. It would appear his public persona is as an NBA player and thus is why the league stepped in.
Citizen Jah can do one thing, NBA player Jah not so much.
New CBA needs to revisit vaccinations and lock down what it wants to do now this is a thing likley to happen again. many professions required it. NBA ball is not “essential” but the nature of the sport and how transmittable virus can be its a safety issue.
No player is forced to get vax’d. If a PERSON wishes to not get it, well thats on them. Current CBA has no language on this. I think going forward it will.

A better version of Taj. Not saying get rid of Obi just to get rid of him. But let's say we draft a Kris Murray or an other 4, you then bring in a vet for now, and trade Obi for future draft picks or for that player. Maybe Harrison Barnes

I thought Cleanthony was in Maspeth Queens?

you're right though. Twisted fu!ks see these guys as potential trophies in fights, shootings etc. Personally, i think this is why a number of celebs and athletes carry. Not to act gangster but because they know the risks

He was the first pick from this FO that seemed bad from the start. Even with Sims you could tell something was there.

Exactly what I been complaining about for years. Call me a Thibs hater if you want but I just point out problems I see. Glad he fixed it. He playing the effort players now and fixed some scheme problems so I don't have an issue with him anymore.

Looks like it was a good trade for both sides.

We gave up the #1 with Cam but short term there seems little doubt that 9 - 0 JHart was the big right move for the Knicks. And I wonder how the defense and “intangibles” are going for Cam. I have no idea.

And I still question Thib’s doghouse, though all is long forgiven.

The "fleece" premise hasn't too ingrained in sports culture. More and more if you don't "fleece" the other team, fans consider it a loss.

Knicks got the right guy for their team at this time. The exchange of Bird Rights for the right guy for their team will be a draft pick in the 20s in a year in which they might already have 1 or 2 better picks and a full roster.

It's not a bad thing if Reddish goes on to have a successful career. It's a good thing.

Oh give me a break already.

Portland is only 4-6 during 10 games of Cam Reddish and they're only 4-6 (and not 0-10) because they've won their only 4 games against absolute crap teams (Lakers with no LeBron, Orlando Magic, Houston and Detroit).

No break granted.

Portland got a serviceable player, and a first round pick.

We got Hart.

Both sides got value.

I think he needs to frame it as a "fleece" (as I mentioned earlier) to be satisfied.

That both sides may have won the trade isn't good enough.

The Knicks had to benefit AND Portland had to get nothing positive in return for the Knicks to "win" the trade, because that's just how some 'fans' are wired.

Hollinger: Knicks-Celtics adds irony to analytics conference; insight on CBA talks

This takes us back to the court Sunday night and two areas that are going to command an increasingly large share of the league’s analytic attention: player health and improving the game.

The minutes loads in this game, to an outside observer, would seem jarring. New York’s Immanuel Quickley played 55 minutes and did not rest after the 10:30 mark of the second quarter. New York’s RJ Barrett played 50, and Boston’s Jayson Tatum 49. All told, eight players on the two teams played at least 44 minutes, numbers that normally would set off load management alarm bells in performance staffs.

go-deeper
GO DEEPER

Let's talk load management: Is it a problem? How do we know it works?

New York and Boston are the two clubs that have pushed the limit on player usage as hard as anyone. The Knicks’ Julius Randle is second in the NBA in minutes played and led the league in 2020-21, with his teammate Barrett second that season. Tatum leads the league in minutes per game and is fourth in total minutes, on the heels of a hefty load in 2021-22. Including playoffs, Tatum played at least 500 more minutes than all but two other NBA players. (The human body, as it turns out, does not distinguish between regular season and playoff games.)

Boston’s 45-20 mark is the league’s third best, and Tatum has been an MVP candidate; the Knicks have won nine in a row and now sit at a surprising 39-27. Seemingly, it hasn’t affected them much.

Or has it? Remember, there are three different levels at which minutes can have impact: game wear, season wear and chronic wear. (This is one of many reasons load management is not a one-size-fits-all business.) Game fatigue didn’t seem to be an issue for Quickley, skipping around the court in his 55th minute after repeatedly blowing past Boston’s Grant Williams in the second overtime.

In terms of season fatigue, New York coach Tom Thibodeau’s teams have seemingly not suffered much from heavy usage over the course of the regular season, but the postseason has been another matter. And in the bigger picture, several of his Bulls players also were hit by long-term injuries. Of course, correlation does not equal causation, especially with samples this small. I may have just spent a paragraph describing random noise.

Season-level fatigue may also be striking Tatum, who has seemingly hit a wall since playing 48 minutes against Golden State in another overtime game on Jan. 19. Again, this could just be confirmation bias catching up with us; it’s easy to see a bad mistake and immediately blame fatigue. Tatum’s 2-point shooting is down since that date, but shooting percentages are fickle, and you’d have to look with an electron microscope to note much change in his other numbers.

If you can’t tell yet, I’ve described to you the crux of the load management issue for analytics staffs and front offices: Despite massive advances in technology and tracking and the math behind it, the unknown still dwarfs the known.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
