About a week or so Kidd had lost his power move to be Mav's president. Similar to what happend in milwaukee? His bitch move in Brooklyn?
Question remains was he fired with cause? Did he leave as said "Mutually agreed"?
Does this actually mean he walks away with his 40mil? I get Massai wants his people and perhaps Jason did not want to rebuild? Or is this him doing what he has done elsewhere where he gets a bit full of himself and wants more and more?
If he has another gig lined up Dallas won't have to pay him. He got his extension last year when knicks came a calling.

Orlando rumors have both Billy Donovan and Jeff Van Gundy as potential candidates. Perhaps as Shaq intimated last night Kidd was getting vibes they might be interested?

We read he is a good coach but also an *******.
His time with Lakers as assistant seemed to have reset him a bit and he rebuit his cred to get the Mav's job and he did succeed.
But he seems to have this personality thing where his ego swells and power grabs occur. Not the first time. Or the second!

I read JVG getting an interivew in Portland for the open job.
Credit his going back to the bench to prove relevent after not coaching for 19 years! At 64 he ate his pride and did what was needed. Billy Donovan is rumored front runner on orlando but I think JVG got interview?
Not like Mark Jax who been whining for 13 years and did not take an assistant role to show himself after a disasterous personality showing in GSW. HE had the chops to coach but there is more to the job.

Guys like Atkinson and Mike brown took assistant gigs after being let go. Mike Brown was with Kerr for 6 years in GSW! Three rings there.
Jason Kidd did two years as a Laker assistant winning a chip also showing up to earn another gig. Did a good job in Dallas also with very good coaching chops before the crazy ownership change and Luka trade changed it all. His ego could not help himself wanting to be team president. Read he was never told about Massai being hired. Ujiri had full authority to move Kidd out. Kidds role in the Luka trade is rumored to be a bit murky.

My guess is he would have been ok here given the ownership structure and Front office well established with Leon, WWW, Rosas and Aller all in place.

Not reading anything about Thibs either not succeeding in gaining interview or for that matter even looking to coach again? Personally I hope he has found peace and enjoying Dolans money!
