I think the underlying reason that the Knicks moved DDV/Randle for KAT was that KAT can be a focal point of offense in a way Randle may not have been as consistent or threatening for defenses, give or take. These would obviously be other reasons too.

Knicks still need a secondary ball handler IMO.

Agree...also think a big point is KAT either shoots from deep or drive - he doesn't hold the ball and makes quicker decisions vs Randle

Yep, elite spacer. But poor defender.

I think they knew about the defense of KAT and why we saw them furiously hunt for C's to trade for knowing Mitch would be out and that's all they had.

5-out with rim defense was probably never a real option.

Divo I don't have a problem with. He did voice displeasure coming off the bench tho after we got Bridges. So there is that.

Had no idea Penny was this athletic. I was so young back in these days so was not paying attention to the NCAA. Now I see why Shaq told his FO to make sure they draft him.

I don’t watch a ton of college ball but remember watching some highlights or games back in the day. He was so good.
