Cava got to be happy about an extension, but concerned he's only committing to 2 years, not 4.

That's what Spida gets for being a good solider and not demanding out. I have to admit it, I do respect him for it. We've had too many babies like KD and Harden who want out as soon as things get tough.

Leon should give Ewing a call since he coached him at GT. But these are the type of guys we should be looking at after we resign Precious.

Completely agree. I think he really wanted the Knicks but he sees the circumstances have changed and neither the Knicks or the nets are feasible so he stayed with what is working. I do respect him for letting this play out and not forcing the issue.

Free agent center James Wiseman has agreed on a two-year contract with the Indiana Pacers, sources tell ESPN. Wiseman was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

WOJ

One of the last decent options now gone.

Read it differently: A guy who the Knicks would never sign is now not available. The end

Yeah I think he could have helped us. He has a lot of physical ability.

And again I go back to, beggers can't be choosers.

Center is major position of concern right now.

On the other hand, Wiseman to the Pacers increases the odds that Isiah Jackson could be taken here.

Jackson is both a Kentucky Alum and a client of Sam Rose.

Yeah, what's up with that? The FO knew for a while that the Knicks were thin in terms of big guys and that iHart was likely to walk. So, it must have developed contingency plans. And it is reasonable to ask now: what are these contingency plans? When are we going to see them in action? Or is the plan simply to wait until everyone gets signed and offer $5m to whoever is left? Who are we hoping to get this way? Dwight Howard?

Didn't Jalen smith just walk from Indy to Chicago?
I take it Wiseman fills that slot and potential upside that Smith didn't.
Whats going on with Jackson? They not want to extend him? The money getting tight for Pacers?
He has one more year on his rookie deal. He did play well vs. us.

Garrett, We not begging. We have Mitch and Sim's. FO will figure something.

He makes a ton of sense. Indiana has a ton invested in Siakam, Turner, Toppin and have the rookie Walker. all big men. Can they afford to give Jackson is second contract ? Is it a good allocation of resources for them ?
