It's what he does when he actually touches the ball - if he's not dunking an alley oop or jacking a quick 3 he is afraid to do anything significant with the ball off the dribble. He continues to catch and hand off above the 3 point line and continues to be afraid to attack the rim off the dribble thru contact. Without a clear lane or 1/2 step advantage he won't attack a defender. So he is a SOFT 4 in a 3's body who is mediocre defensively, doesn't protect the rim and prefers cherry picking over hitting the defensive boards. In his last 4 games over 80 minutes he has 4Rbs, 2 assists and 1 block to go with 11 fouls.

So over last 80 minutes has combined for 7 Rbs/assists/blocks against 11 fouls - like with the Knicks he's playing SOFT.

And Obi goes off with 27 to shut me up for at least a month

Knicks hate by espn has usally been validated by the record on the court and had not earned “Benefit of the doubt”.

Look at us, we **** all over Randle the first few games eating up all the Statmuse stuff and how it could be the worst season for a player like ever, then micro be critical on his body language and freak out when we were 2-4. All the while saying “its the toughest schedule thus far”. Then see him start to cook and its “we should trade him while his value is high”. If true, like other teams don’t know the **** we think we know. Then we used the ATL season and his bad mood year as justifications.

He won’t make all nba this year because its not positional. By thst, only three centers were able to be all nba, or 6 guards. Now its the best 15 players voted on. He could still make all star team though.

In my mind he came as a free agent and cost us nothing. He plays on a great contract and now healthy is showing his talent. I understand we might make a trade with him as he should be a value to a team at his contract.

I will never comprehend the Randle hate but there’s no escaping it. Is it because he “made faces?” Or that he “Iso’s” - first guy do that right? Who knows? Of course he isn’t Lebron or without flaws, but the persistent - and dumb - intensity of criticism and proposed dumps not trades for a guy who has largely helped bring the team back to respectability…sheesh. Me - I know whom I’m pulling for if the choice is between a hard working and talented if not perfect (human?) on a great contract who wanted to come here, is passionate, an all star, who leaves it ALL on the floor and plays through pain…vs media gasbag pot stirrers and their baked bipolar bing bonging acolytes.

Happy to see him coming back from serious injury and getting us a big win last night.
