The Grizzlies and Clippers agreed in principle to a trade involving Zach Randolph, but Los Angeles owner Donald Sterling nixed the deal.

During Thursday night's NBA Draft, the two clubs worked out a deal centered around Randolph and Darko Milicic. Memphis guard Greg Buckner would have also been part of the trade.

After Sterling stopped the deal, the Grizzlies traded Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson.

Man am I glad we didn't trade our #6 pick along with Randolph in order to unload him last off season. I knew that as his contract came closer to expiring that teams would become more interested in trading for him.

Sterling should have pulled the trigger but Im glad he didn't. They should dump Kaman, Randolph & even Davis and look to rebuild with Gordan, Thornton, Griffin.

The Magic are also targeting Rasheed Wallace. If they are able to sign him to the MLE which I see happening then they just solidified there championship.

Howard, Sheed, Lewis, Carter, Nelson, Alston, Pietrus

The Nets may have a problem with that lineup.

Yeah, if the Magic get Sheed, they will prance to the big dance. Healthy KG or not, Shaq or no Shaq. Unless Sheed decides to choke out Dwight. Both are strong possibilities.

I think the Celtics are falling fast. Watch KG come back, a couple of steps slower, from this injury. I even read somewhere they were looking to ship Ray Allen. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but if it is, it shows they are looking to rebuild on the fly. They are OLD.

If Shaq plays as well as he did this past season, which was VERY GOOD, then I'd say the Cavs have just as much a shot to win the championship as anyone.

PS: Don't sleep on the Spurs.

That's 5 real contenders now, as opposed to just 2 or 3 from last season. The Magic, Cavs, Celtics, Lakers, Spurs. Lets see if Portland, Utah, Denver and heck, even Atlanta can thrust themselves in that group by improving from within'.

I also think he's more valuable because of his position. You've been posting about us needing a shot blocker for years now. And while he's no Thabeet in the paint, he seems like he can and will make his presence felt in the paint. He rebounds, blocks shots, bangs in the paint and has a little turn around jumper. These are the main attributes I or anyone can want in a power forward.

As for Curry, there was a time when I wanted him. But once we drafted Hill, I didn't care much for Curry. Yes, he can shoot lights out, but so can a lot of other guys in this league.

What Hill brings to the table compared to Curry is more of what the Knicks need right now imo.

agreed... can't wait to see him suit up & take the court for us... & if we somehow end up w/Rubio in a trade, ur gonna be witness to a whole lotta exciting uptempo basketball next season.

i'm curious tho, is this guy Douglas really our PG of the future? if not, what's the point in buying that pick & giving out a guaranteed 1st rounder contract to him when we could have just signed a LLE type FA to be Duhon's backup next season?

i dont think he is the pg of the future and i sure hope the FO dosnt think so either. the kid did play well against some good teams and played real well against unc in the acc tourney this year. hope he can take the "big game" type of play to the nba level when/if he gets any minutes.

from the other posters' comments i guess he's more of a combo guard in the mold of Fred Jones w/a better J? i'm fine w/the pick but would have preferred we bought a 2nd round pick & taken Dionte Christmas... i think he would have addressed an important need off the bench for us now that Q Rich is gone.
