George Karl giving the ball to Carter on that inbound pass just killed the game. Bad foul by K-Mart prior to that.

For all the power and glory of the Lakers they still only win because of a guy picked by none other than Isiah Thomas in the draft!

sebstar, tonight i grew a ton of newfound respect for your boy Melo... dude was giving Kobe all he could handle & then some... if not for that boneheaded inbound pass by Anthony Carter i think the Nuggets would've won this game... Billups lived up to his reputation as a killer once again in the playoffs too, dude was making big shot after big shot.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Melo's been real all year, and has been quietly making that next level jump. The Nuggets success isnt about Chauncy. There will be more converters like yourself.

we've seen Melo ballin' his entire career in the regular season, but doing what he did tonight vs. Kobe in his house showed me something... kid was hungry & was battling for every possession & every loose ball... maybe he's finally growing up.

tough loss. nice game though, on both sides. real good, intense conference finals basketball.

denver's gotta get more from their bench.

and kudos to kobe - came up real big down the stretch.

Denver HAS to play defense. Chris Anderson and Kenyon were the only 2 Nuggets playing D. Denver needs some serious buckle-down defensive play from guys like Melo, Dahntay Jones and ESPECIALLY JR Smith - if he's going to be a friggen gunner, he better get back on D. I can't get on Melo too bad because he played an outstanding game overall, but if he could just step his game up defensively, the Nuggets will win this series.

man this is gonna be a good series. over this season since adding billups i've really become a denver fan.

i was actually upset with a team i don't follow losing for the first time in ages.

of course, i also don't hold much affection for the lakers, but against houston i didn't really care much, and that was a good series.

i thought it was hilarious, especially the one w/the Kobe puppet egging Lebron about his 3 rings.

Kobe beat the Nuggets by himself other than that 1 Ariza steal on the boneheaded inbounds pass... at the 5 minute mark i told my friend "It's Kobe time" & sure enough, dude showed why he's the best closer in the NBA... he's as money a player as it gets.
