Sad. I remember the first time I listened to Roy. I was dating this hippy chick and she popped in the one of his CDs while we where driving one night. Opened my eyes to another world of music ranging from acid and classical jazz to prog and math rock. His influence in hip hop is huge. He was a go to for many beat producers who needed a sample 😢

I dont remember exactly when I first heard Ayers, but Im guessing it was listening to WPLJ in the late 70s.

My new favorite series right now is Paradise. Great Sci-fi. Each episode ends in a cliffhanger, and they’re good ones.

This is an interesting article about Peter Wolf of the J Geils Band. The revelations are fast and furious, fun stuff. Saw them at MSG during the “Freeze Frame” tour, I think that’s what it was called. They were great.

Cool story about Wolf. Had no idea he was married to Faye Dunaway. Such a great performance she did in the movie "network" which is really a must see for any thinking human living in todays USA. Reference to "Mcarthy hearings" was interesting and while we strive to "make America great again" its a reminder that it was not always so great.
The Link? Roy Cohen a young attorney was Joseph Mcarthy's chief counsel. Both despicable humans and this was Trumps attorney later in life who was a huge in influence on Donald.

Dunaway's performance is "Mommy Dearest" was really quite something. She was terrifying playing Joan Crawford. The movie was taken from her daughters book.

I thought Wolf did well with a solo record also. Not sure I'll read this one but it was a good article! Thanks for posting.....

Neither did I! Agree about Network. The writing is so fing good. In addition to the great performances. Also a big fan of her performance in “Three days of the Condor”. One of my all time favorite films as well.

I remember Wolf told this story a long time ago about how he went rafting out in the country with some experienced locals. He showed up dressed like someone from NY might. They hit some rapids, and out of sheer luck he ended up being the only one who got to shore with dry clothes out of several boats. He told it a lot funnier.

Just watched “Den of Thieves” much better than I thought it would be. About to start the sequel.

Wild stuff…

https://www.independent.co.uk/space/black-hole-multiverse-nasa-universe-jwst-b2716413.html

A new study of 263 galaxies has provided fresh evidence to support a theory that our universe is the interior of a black hole.

Using data from Nasa’s James Webb Space Telescope, researchers at Kansas State University in the US discovered that the majority of the galaxies were rotating in the same direction.

This goes against previous assumptions that our universe is isotropic, meaning there should be an equal number of galaxies rotating clockwise and anticlockwise.

“It is not clear what causes this to happen, but there are two primary possible explanations,” said Lior Shamir, associate professor of computer science at Kansas State University.

“One explanation is that the universe was born rotating. That explanation agrees with theories such as black hole cosmology, which postulates that the entire universe is the interior of a black hole.”

Maybe we’re safer in a black hole, who knows. Might explain where UFO/UAPs come from. Other black holes.

Might shine a light, pun intended, on black matter and it's composition if true. Unfortunately, this seems like the most radical explanations given. It's obviously the untapped power of the Force.

Finished it tonight. A lot of WTF moments, including the innie/outie convo and marching band scene. I'm looking forward to season 3.

Sydney Sweeney has reportedly called off her wedding to Jonathan Davino, amid 'major issues' that have allegedly left their romance hanging in the balance.

Sydney, 27, and Jonathan, 41, started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022, but for the most part kept their relationship assiduously private.

However a source recently revealed to DailyMail.com that the pair have postponed their wedding, which was planned to take place this May.

The insider explained that the couple were undergoing a 'rough patch' and trying to 'reassess' whether they ought to remain together at all
