Lebron hit three clutch shots in a row, amazing when you consider he was the ultimate playoff clutch shot choker early in his career.

Wonder who wins in the east- as impressive as the Heat look, even during the season they had spells where they strangely slumped, think Boston still have a shot.

Grant was ballin to ensure he gets his big contract for next season. Teams in the west like the Mavs, clippers(if Morris walks or they decide they want grant) and blazers can be hot for him

Yep, he pulled a Jared Jeffries!

The Philadelphia 76ers ownership group reportedly wants to hire Mike D'Antoni as the franchise's next head coach, sources told Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Sources add that it's difficult to tell who is in charge of the hire, with the ownership group becoming involved with the process earlier than expected.

D'Antoni has met with Sixers' ownership for a first round of interviews, and would reportedly have to bomb his second round to not be offered the job.

Playing-wise, Joel Embiid is said to be happy with the potential hire as he would be facing the basket more than posting up in D'Antoni's system.

D'Antoni would also move Tobias Harris back to power forward.

The Sixers would be willing to make trades to meet the demands of D'Antoni's system.

I thought they’d go for Ty Lue. Wonder what roster moves they’ll make

Sounds like BS- imagine having nothing better to do than arrest someone for possession of weed. What the heck is concealing stolen property?

Disaster waiting to happen if they hire d antoni. Simmons isnt a shooter at all, embiid wants to play in the post and is the opposite of what Mike wants to do. They have Horsford who is dead weight and now teams will know they will trade him ASAP, thus lowering his value once again

I'm assuming either Ben or Joel are getting traded for a more dynamic perimeter threat if Philly decides to get on the merry go round.

Gutted Nuggets lost. Really wanted them to go to 6-7 games but unlike their previous opponents, Lebron and co pulled through so creds to them. Crazy how poorly constructed this team yet they breezed to the final.

Nuggets got a great thing going though. Next year Bol Bol(bar injury) and MPJR will be very solid impact players. They just gotta grab that last piece and they'll be surefire contender. Also Milsap really shouldn't have played post pandemic. Not sure how one could justify anything above offering him the MLE

Celtics are mostly a finesse team. They should trade Hayward for more of a bruiser.

Bobby Portis for Gordan Haywood! Who says no? I'll even throw in Julius Randle and a Nicole Malliotakis campaign shirt.

Hell hath no fury like James Dolan scorned.

The controversial Knicks boss is pouring cash into the effort to help GOP Congressional candidate Nicole Malliotakis beat incumbent Democratic Staten Island Rep. Max Rose — all because Rose recently trash-talked his ownership of the perennially losing New York Knicks

.

Dolan contributed the max amount he could which was $2K + change. "Poured"???

Everyone has a right to do this. BFD

This is nothing less than character assassination and has nothing to do with the Knicks.

I honestly forgot Kemba Walker was playing every game of the heat series- very low key/invisible for a max guy, not sure if it was playoff jitters or there is some sort of series knee issue he’s been going through?

Anyways, good series- now its heat vs Lakers, looking forward to seeing Jimmy vs Lebron

Heat will be the most complete team, the lakers will face this season. Heat has so much semblance to the 14 spurs in where they don't have any dominating players, but have 7 solid players that can just go off at anytime. I still see the lakers heavily favored this series as lebrronhas already notched up his game to playoff Lebron, AD is playing well, Dwight and rondo are locked in on their roles. If KCP, Green and kuzma do work, I see them winning in 5 or 6.

they're an enigma right now. between hayward and Kemba neither was a great ROI. there's no obvious fix at the moment.

Isn't Kemba another guy we were supposed to sign to a max?

Anyway, I'm pulling for the Heat despite my fandom going back to JVG tackling Alonzo. It's a philosophical thing.

yes but we were in that state where we were taking anyone who was willing to take our money -- i.e., people without better options.

there's a lot to like about the Heat but my hatred runs deep for Pat the Rat. Problem is i hate Lebron's ego too

On a different note: the playoffs have been more enjoyable than most, and i was very glad to see 3 and some may argue all 4 of the final teams play defense in earnest (Clips too)

I hope Thibs still has some juice left in the tank (not just cashing out) because it would be nice to see a strong defense as a viable strategy to success (tired of seeing Rockets, Nets under Kenny, even the Bucks offense -- one step away from HORSE)

Those shoes reminded me Kemba was on the court. No kidding, those were the greenest shoes Ive ever seen. Like they were almost glowing.

Agree about Walker being invisible out there otherwise. Walker and Hayward looked flat. Heat were too hungry. Hayward would be a better fit with GS, as far as style of play.

I was going to until I saw Riley in his booth during the heat/celtic finale- I just can't do it! I'm going to have to go with the Lakers, but I don't feel good about it

That's not the embarrassing part. You're free to support whoever you like. The fact that he lacked self awareness and left another e-mail trail to document his own pettiness is the issue. Also, he's mad because he thought Rose politicized the Knicks so his solution is to politicize the team even more?

Haywood looked good his first game back after a month out but could not sustain it. It was a very close series and would have liked to see both teams at full strength. Bass block in game was perhaps as was the call very well we as the deciding play. IT was shocking to see Celtics fall as they did the last 5 minutes of the game. Looked very much like we had a game 7 until that moment.
Smart back looked like a problem but he gutted it won’t. Brown hobbled but then made two great steals off of Herro and it looked good. Herro and Bam were the difference.
Tatum is a stud. Next stop will be Anthony Davis territory. Not Boston made a good run of it. Nothing to they should keep their head down. Kemba, like Brown and Tatum ran out of gas. Not much more. Foul trouble was an issue for him. Goober Robinson was electric. Simply, not a star studded team but well balanced!!!!
Hard to dislike them. At the same time I root for history and Lebron is making it.
