This is where the escalation of hate will bring all of us - to the gates of hell.

Of course it's a hate crime...Absolutely..But you shouldn't only care when hate happens to one race...

4 kids commuting a hate crime will bring us to the depths of hell and should be charged and thrown in jail for their stupid juvenile decisions. But people can create laws which negatively effect millions of people and apparently that won't bring us to the depths of hell. And nobody will be charged.

Absolutely agree... We should care when it happened with any human being regardless of arbitrary group.
Isn't any crime against physical and mental well being of any human being a hate crime?

They make a distinction for a reason! I've been trying to educate you on this for MONTHS!!! The history in this country has been one where hate crimes against ones race or religion were especially egregious and to the point where they needed special attention to try and curtail it.

Surely you understand what I'm talking about since Jews have been victims of hate crimes over the centuries. Here in this country the majority of hate crimes has been historically aimed at Blacks and other minorities.

Which laws specifically? We need to know to work on changing them... so some specifics will be helpful.

This is the kind of thing that a guy Rush Limbaugh uses to try and make it seem like an equal amount of racial injustice goes on in this country. Just remember that they Burned an entire Black city because of a rumor that a Black man touched a white woman in an Elevator! For most of the history of this country that has been the way things were done.

No one should be attacked simply because of their race or religion but let's not only get outraged when it happens to someone of your own race. IMO Trump inflamed the Racial Tensions in this country with his rhetoric. He was warned to stop but he kept on doing it.

So the thing this... creatures did is Trump fault?
Their attorney probably should use this argument in court.. may very well work.

NO not his fault but Trump raised the tension levels in this country and surely you know damned well how Racist Rhetoric can inspire hate crimes! STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS!!!

This is the case for almost every country in the world.
And in many countries it was much worth that in US.
Minorities were displaced, slaughtered, torched, raped, starved to death, and worth in counts of millions for duration of hundred of years. And in some countries this was done with majorities.
To me hate is hate. And evil is evil. It does not have race, gender, sexual orientation, or nationality.
All the rest are weak excuses.

Trump is one man and no one will care about him unless he will not be elected by 50 million people votes.
This 50 million people are "raising the tension levels in this country". And you should stop acting like you do not understand this.
Trump will go away in 4-8 years but all this people behind him will remain.
So when you speaking about him you are talking about this 50 million people so I would suggest you to be careful with that.
You do not want 50 millions to be put against another 50 millions.
Nothing good will come up from it.

The truth is we all will be dead one day.
So I would not worry about it.
But while we are there lets enjoy it.

Human nature. The mental capacity most of the people have is limited.
No one can feel the pain of the whole world.
So we should do what we can for those who close to us.
When we fail this we fail the whole world.

Please stop talking nonsense! Not every Trump Voter is a racist or has hate for those that voted for someone else in the Election. That's not what this is about.

There are very real Racists and Haters in this country that were EMBOLDENED by Trump's Rhetoric and then there are those on the other side who got amped up to hate back!!! This is the problem when a supposed leader spouts hate.

On the other hand a leader like Martin Luther King taught peace. Imagine if he did not do that? How much worse it could've been if he preached violence and terrorist acts. After all the bad things this country has done to African Americans we did not resort to mass violence or retaliate with terrorist acts which we could have.

See some snowflakes are still melting away while some other forums are celebrating the coming of the new King. A group hug and tug in a safe zone may be in order here to temporarily soothe some fragile psyches. I expect the perimeters of the red and blue spectrum to continue with their respective hysterias until it becomes clear that the reversal in house will not be as bad as many fear or as good as many hope. President Obama's ideals and persona were admirable enough to win my votes but now find myself ambivalent about his Presidency especially his second term. There were certainly some accomplishments such as the ACA but he squandered a great opportunity given eight years to lift the lower and middle classes especially blacks who fell further behind during the slow economic recovery . His foreign policy record was simply abysmal but he did protect our soil. I now forward to him addressing the quagmire in Chicago as sternly as Israel on his way out for I would assume that black lives matter there. Trump is certainly a contrast in personality and ideology . I do trust that there are enough checks and balances in place to circumvent him if needed. His nuttiness however does appears to stir some movement on some pertinent issues though much fine tuning is needed. How bout them Knicks

I am not supporting Trump but the will of American people who elected him.
I don't care about Trump personality and will judge him by what he will accomplish or will faile to accomplish.
Talk is chip.

How does one do that when the Republicans controlled the House in since 2010 and Republicans controlled the Senate in since 2014?..Obama had two years to implement his domestic plans which required legislation, the republicans blocked everything as a strategy...And how do you single out a particular group to help in this society??...Would you considered what he did in terms of getting States to consider offering free community college something that targeted minorities or blacks a good thing, although it couldn't be implemented nationally??..Changing the terms of Pell Grant so more poor and low income people can get into college??? Any love?? How about the attention he brought to the length of minorities being incarcerated?? Any love there??..Arabs now considers Russia the number one super power that against Islam?? Any love there???

Did I say he was a bad President, did I say he had the cooperation of Congress or did I say that blacks as a whole have not experience any economic improvement under his watch? You might want to check your history books. U.S. Legislation has been going on since the late 19th century to attempt to correct injustices. Look at the era of Kennedy and LBJ followed by Nixon, Ford as targeting legislation to help the war on poverty that continues to today.Under President Obama, about the only thing that was increased relative to national trends was the use of food stamps. No improvement in poverty levels, no improvement in income inequality or hs grad rates, no drop off win out of wedlock births, no increase in household worth. Discussing criminal justice reform and improved policing is more than warranted (thank the Crime Bill of 94 to black leaders and the Clintons) but falling back on the default of systematic racism without fully challenging the culture of any underclass as a factor in the cycle of poverty is problematic to ever solving the issue. What has been happening in Chicago is a national disgrace occurring under his nose. I suspect those murder totals will drop under trump though the community will complain about too much or too little police presence because that is what they have domne in the past. On the foreign affair issue scene, his approach of global inclusion has failed miserably. Do you really think that Syrians will look at us more favorably after the line in the sand bs or that his apology tour helped our standing with Muslim countries? Right now Russia, Iran and Turkey are diving up Find Bush put us into that Iraq and Afghanistan quagmire and President Obama has just extended the miscues to Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Mosul. Crimea,Israel , North Korea and other. Meanwhile China, Russia and Iran have all expanded their influence because they saw our hesitancy and failed diplomacies

You threw out a lot there....I never said that you said he was a bad President...Where did I say that???..I merely pointed you to wins that you may have overlooked and pointed you to reasons why his plans weren't implemented...

The political climate today is completely different from those previous years..Tip O'Neill worked with Reagan when he won the Presidency..Congress doesn't operate like that anymore, like gentlemen...You can't compare the eras...There was a big recession in 2008/9 which impacted just about everything and everyone...The poor certainly will get hit the hardest in those instances, no doubt..There aren't any magic wands...What war on poverty?? You mean by continuing to cut taxes for the rich guy so he can trickle down his winnings??? That war on poverty?? or food stamps??

Chicago is not a presidential problem nor a police problem, there are larger issues at work here socially..Too big a topic to address here...

Now with Syria, Iran told the US and Obama they would not do the nuclear deal if he took out Assad, what's more important??...Case closed...ISIS metastasized because of civil war in Syria and void of the Iraqi military..No way for anyone to see that...We can't be the police of the world..Spending 6 trillion dollars of tax payer money isn't enough in overseas wars??..What is the number where we say no more???

Russia, Turkey, Iran are dividing up the winnings in Syria???...Is this a joke, have you seen Aleppo???...They all can have it, good riddance...

It has been true for years that our elected representatives do not work together on national interests due to partisan politics. Pubs control both houses now but it will be interesting to see what unfolds with Trump given that he does not adhere to Pub ideology despite the label. $20 trillion dollar deficit and big fiscal plans should have the fiscal hawks reappearing including the Tea Party who presently supports. Pub Party may reshape somewhat but think there will be detractors since he is a unorthodox outsider. I was very disappointed that President Obama fiscal plan early in his first term was defeated as it would have spurred the economy in step with the Fed quantitive easing program Targeted programs have been in place for decades and the question has always been if they deincentivize and keep a persons growth down . Argument is always over whether they should they be expanded and perhaps create a class of dependents rather than productive workers. I have seen that first hand with a relative who rode extended unemployment benefits to my disgust rather than accept low paying employment that may have afforded him opportunity. Tax reform should be geared towards the entire expanse of the middle class, right now there is a anomaly in a range near 125k where they actually get taxed more which makes no sense since those savings will actually trickle down to spending that supports. See no need for tax cuts for rich, 39.6% is low enough even on the Laffer curve. Agree with repatriation and lowering corporate taxes and eliminating loopholes as long as a portion of those monies returning are reinvested in the states. Gangs in Chicago should be addressed on a federal level wherever they exist, broad range but growing problem with Hispanic immigrants but Trump can't express it properly just as he cant properly express suppression of Muslim extremisnm which happens. Instead he throws groups around. Think he will do what most Americans want , be a law and order president who will wage a war on gangs, drugs, crime and stem illegal immigration and I have no issue with that knowing that it will have a disportionate impact on minorities in the short run but the reality is that trash has to be removed for urbans to rise. As far as education, you need to be literate first to get a hs degree and get into community college and that starts with family priorities and values early on. Many immigrants have come here with no monies, little backing and suffered discrimination but the stress has been on family and education at all costs. College costa are an issue for all people , the 1% is the 1% and there is a sliding scale from there. White middle class bears much of the full cost. I went to night school, my extended family is saddled with student loans. Bush wasted so many dollars on a war that could have been avoided but our followup on foreign policy was naive to say the least and Hillary was. large part of the problem as she looked to make her legacy . Iran is a theocracy that preaches the extinction of Israel, to say that they are dictating to America is self explanatory. No one here knows the details of that agreement but the public understanding is that all that was negotiated was a lifting of sanctions for a ten year delay so the U.S. just put off a bigger problem with a stronger nation for another day. Not a war monger but you don't wait to deal with North Korea after failed diplomacies from strength until they have the ability to hit the West coast. Trump may be crazy but he is right to start applying pressure on China to exert influence and my guess is they will
