Houston could really use Dragic off the bench. I am not sure he would want to do that but they need a PG that can shoot like a two but also take over ball handling duties and move Harden off the ball. Harden may continue to struggle in the playoffs if he doesn't get another combo guard.

Back in the day Jason terry would have filled that role but he is just a spot up shooter.

Calderon awaits! Hopefully they luck out on Dragic and trade for Calderon as plan b- gives that team a shooter, playmaker and someone who isn't an a**hole.

This kid was allowed to develop. he was slow to do so but patience was rewarded. Relating to the knicks, I hope the "Cultural Revolution" allows this within the organization. I don't expect fans to. I mean some were already giving grades to Cleanthony after his first week back!!!

Atlanta with Teague and Memphis with Conley are just two examples of patience we have seen at the PG position.

Yep, I remember when people were laughing about the contract the Griz gave him years ago- they ain't laughing now!

They laughed when they hired the Metrics journalist.
They laughed when they canned Hollins.
They laughed when they hired Joerger.
They laughed when they traded Pau.
They laughed when they signed ZBo.

It was all "Stupid same old Memphis!!!!"

They laughed, We are crying.

Ouch. Seems like it would be. Especially if he wants to be in top form next year when they have a better team.

reggie miller and tnt announcing team crapping on the knicks lol
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Has anyone else thought how weird ACL tears seem to hit teams these days? It's a really rare injury, but it seems to effect teams multiple times in the same season these days. We had Shump and Baron tear their ACLs in the same playoff series, Denver had Nate, Gallo and Hickson in the same season, and then this year its the Bucks with Parker and Marshal.

"the league" by its nature is shameless because it is a business first and foremost. the sense of perspective has been completely lost. yes, stern helped rescue the league on the backs of johnson and bird and then jordan, but the level of pandering that goes on has perverted the enterprise.

the all-star voting process is completely in the hands of the fans, who to my mind are basically the same sorts of people that get mesmerized by professional wrestling, suspending disbelief in order to be entertained. shameless but hey haystacks calhoun and bruno sammartino never get old.

moreover, the game is an exhibition and there's no stake in it for anyone, unless you are trying to "build your brand." completely meaningless.

Shump made his Cavs debut tonight. 75-40 at the half. I still do not think Love is going to be happy as the 4th offensive option. He might be down to 5th with Moz being a main screener in the PnR.

That is the thing about basketball

For a team to win, players should sacrifice for the better of the team, because WINS are more important than personal numbers
And that was one of the reasons why GS decided to give the max extension to Klay Thompson this summer past summer rather than playing the wait game and possibly even save themselves money (if Klay gets a major surgery/injury)

Think about it, he would have been a RFA NEXT sesason, so they didn't technically did not have to extend him, they would not have lossed anything had they waited, as they had the abiity to match any offer he gets and if he did sign one, it would be less than what he is getting now

Instead they decided to give him the extension earlier rather than wait it out, WHY?
So Klay didn't have to worry about generating STATs to justify getting a MAX contract and concentrate on Win's for the better of the team....

Now back to Love,
Yes, his game has to sacrifice, however, MosGoV is also getting those looks in the PnR situation because the other players must stick to their man if they can shoot, certainly the PF who defends Love cannot help or it would result in a wide open 3pter
Now, as Bosh said, playing with Lebron would be a lot different from playing on The Twolves
He will have to adjust and to do OTHER things like crashing for boards, setting picks off the ball, making cuts every now and then, DEFENSE etc...

So why does Love care, with his own injury concerns, the slow start Cleveland started with, the numbers are down when Love plays with Lebron, and Love also wants a MAX deal AFTER NEXT YEAR
He wants to maximize his opportunity and follow what Lebron wants to do

While numbers/stats should not count when playing basketball
Numbers/STATs do count when GM's are using it against you for leverage/contract talks, especially in smaller market teams and players in the 30+ age, especially with injury concerns
CA surely understood this as he did nothing but manipulated his numbers throughout his career and even more under Woodson's "system"
CA did not care even when his team mates not happy, because his team mates realized not only was it not working but it was/will hurt their contract negatations....

I am saying it now, they might be able to get a MAX contract after this year

But

NEITHER Lebron or Kevin Love is worth a MAX contract for 5years AFTER the next CBA, which is projected to be 30m +

Time will tell....

Just checking box scores and Scott didnt play Lin tonight and brought Price off the bench. Scott started Clarkson. I wonder if the lakers are going youth/tank now. I thought Lin would blw up a bit with Kobe gone.

cubans take on the all star fan vote is hilarious...
http://espn.go.com/dallas/nba/story/_/id/12218988/mark-cuban-dallas-mavericks-suggets-ending-fan-all-star-fan-vote-due-low-totals

it is an exhibition game however if fans cant even rig the system or if they did, this is the best they could do?? they should dump the mid season stuff, same for nhl and mlb.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!
