Probably for his Rolodex. That guy gets out and they’ll sales in weapons can go up. You got to consider how much a monster that guy has to be that America is not just doing the exchange.

Yes, I too have heard a number of political experts discuss that Putin needs him now more than ever because he is making a major play for Africa, and this guy has traded weapons with a large number of state leaders and armed groups there, so he knows everyone. Who knows, the world may have changed a lot during the 10+ years he's been in jail, and Russia is now playing coy with US offers for an exchange. But I still hold out hope that an exchange happens swiftly (for Griner's sake, not for Bout's, of course).

Marks fell into that life trap of compromising and compromising until there’s nothing left, then still got attempted-screwed in the end- I usually end up quitting or changing jobs before I end up too far down that path because I’ve seen how it plays out!

The nerve of KD wanting the coach he wanted to be fired after getting the previous coach fired, and wanting the GM fired too who agreed to all the bad moves he wanted made- you can’t make this stuff up.

Guess he ends up with either the Celtics or Raptors? Unless there’s a western team?

I can't expect all the phonies who clowned the Knicks in their "fail" 3 years ago to own their words from then much less eat them. That's never going to happen in the ADHD twitterstorm universe. But I can take satisfaction knowing it isn't our problem. And how much worse it would be if it was - not the essential pass the 'cool' Nets get.

The nets are just interesting. The drama is incredible. Take out the emotion of love or hate. They just exist so its just something to follow. I respect Nash for his playing career. I can’t say he has done a great job as coach as there are so many variables that if fired, he gonna be fine. Sean Marks scapegoat is just hilarious. He had two insane foreign owners who saw the team as an investment. Billy King was awful or just taking orders? Same for Sean Marks? I don’t know how Joe Tsai takes that. Is Nash really down to coach these clowns anymore?

I fix it:

1. Offer compromise to KD and sacrifice Nash. Love the man, not sure he a good coach and do I want him in the aftermath of all this and more importantly does he want to be with or without KD. But Marks stays.
2. Offer Kyrie a 2 year extension Keeps him in 3 total years.
3. I like Ben simmons on this team if stays. But obviously he has to play/be healthy. I don't care if he can shoot, Kyrie, Harris and KD can. He can penetrate and play defense at a very high level.

That Tsai took it public is super interesting. Means the going to wait it out and paint Durant in not so positive light?
To counter, does Durant pout and tank? If so, were is Silver and the league on this? When Vince did this it was bad look for the league.

Im rooting for Tsai as might other owners as Players need to own up to the contracts or teams need to get reasonable value in return. They made an investment and he accepted to extend.
Im all for player empowerment but Nets gave him everything he wanted and while it has not worked to expectation it came close. If Durant toe on the line I assume they handle Hawks and Suns as well to win the chip in 2021. He was brilliant that series. Milwaukee got it done instead.
