A non- smoking Hedo with good conditioning would be nice.

I think the Knicks can do better with this pick. I'm not saying he's trash, but I think the Knicks need more athleticism, outside shooting and positional flexibility.

https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/ny-isaiah-stewart-draft-washington-rochester-20201110-h2haoh66t5a73olxp63t5cybba-story.html

Potential Knicks draft target Isaiah Stewart tells Daily News: ‘I’m going to remind everybody who I am’

“I feel like I’m going to remind everybody who I am,” Stewart told the Daily News. “A lot of guys who are higher than me on the mock drafts, those are guys who I was dominating in high school, winning matchups against them since high school. I definitely feel like I’m a sleeper.”

Stewart is projected as a late first rounder and could be a target for the Knicks with their 27th overall pick, which they acquired from the Clippers in a February trade for Marcus Morris (the Knicks are also choosing eighth). Many believe Stewart won’t fall to 27th, however, as a Naismith Prep Player of the Year and McDonald’s All-American in high school.

2020 NBA Draft: Devin Vassell was joking around in clips showing him using bizarre shooting form, per report

Hollinger's report echoes what Charlton "Cy" Young, one of Vassell's assistant coaches in college, told Ian Begley of SNY: "He has not changed his shot at all." Young said Vassell was fooling around with some extremely deep 3-point attempts, which is why he was flinging it from behind his head.

All Vassell has to do is post a new clip. Hell he didn’t even participate in the combine 3pt shooting drills.

Makes much more sense then. There is no way Ball plays a similar style to Caris LeVert.

They have us taking Hayes, but I doubt he's even there when the Knicks pick. Hayes profiles physically to Oladipo, which is good. He doesn't look that big on tape, but that might be because the majority of the players in his league are around the same size.

If they don't trade up, the Knicks should be thrilled to get Hayes, who could be their long-term answer at point guard. Though the 19-year-old has plenty of development left, his combination of scoring and playmaking potential would work well in Tom Thibodeau's offense. - PELTON

Grant Riller is 6'0" w/o shoes. He was initially reported as being 6'3". Might explain why reports now have him as a second-rounder. Quickley measured at a legit 6'2" w/o shoes. Who do you take if both guys are on the board with the the Knicks' second-rounder? Do Riller's measurements scare you off? Also, I'm still on team Woodard if he's available at pick #27.

It came out that Obi worked out for the Knicks so we now know they worked out both Kira and Obi.

I'd be surprised if Thibs had Obi ranked that high, but he might see enough to make him think his defense is workable. I'm having a hard time seeing it tho. Obi's defense is like Covid. Once it infects you're team defense, it corrodes it at every level.

6'2 without shoes and a 6'8+ wingspan. Quickley is a really underrated prospect. If no one unexpected falls i'm still liking him at 27, or at least 38 although I question him being there. Quickley is a true combo guard who's one of the best shooters in the draft and can at least be a solid defender. I like Maxey, but taking someone like Hayes or Lewis at 8 and Quickley at 27 is a better value play. Quickley addresses multiple needs here adding an elite shooter who can play both guard spots.

I don't like Obi long term for the Knicks but here is another angle: At pick 8 Obi may be very good value. Think of the value that Channing Frye had for a hot minute when he was a rookie, only more athletic. Obi may be the most ready to contribute for all of the rookies and, given the chance, will put up offensive numbers.

Then, when value goes up, you trade him.
