Ok so it won't be the first act of 2017...

I'm less concerned with using the word LIE as I am in having more in depth reporting on Trump's conflicts. I actually hope the News industry digs deep on Trump cuz he's the most OPAQUE President we've had in modern history. We don't know what his financial entanglements around the world are!!!

This is where the media has come to...Larry F'n Flynt sounding like one of the few grown-ups in the house.
Can't make this stuff up.

Publisher Larry Flynt is slamming the media for helping to “create this monster we now call President-elect [Donald] Trump.”

“Never before in our history have you, the press, been so complacent in an election as you have this past one,” Flynt, the founder of Hustler magazine, writes in an open letter to the “mainstream press” published Tuesday as a paid ad in Variety.

“I have watched and listened to show hosts and moderators say that they have no obligation to fact-check. Are you kidding? This statement is the most absurd thing I have ever heard,” Flynt, a longtime free speech advocate, writes.

“You tend to forget that your audience is made up of a diverse group of individuals, and sadly not all are intellectuals,” Flynt said. “You are dealing with many low-information voters who don’t require hard facts in order to be led in one direction or the other. These are the people who are easily swayed.”

Flynt was a vocal critic of president-elect throughout the 2016 election and even said he sent a pornographic spoof of Trump to every Republican member of Congress last year. He also previously offered $1 million for any scandalous video or audio recordings of Trump.

But in the Tuesday letter, Flynt, 74, steers his fierce criticism towards the press, writing, “The only thing I saw from all of you this past election is an utter desperation to report on everything this man said, whether it is the truth or not.

“You want to sell a paper, bump up your ratings, drive more traffic to your websites; I get it. But you are not selling cookies to consumers. You are journalists — do your job!”

“One final thought: There are more accurate articles in Hustler than in most of the coverage I have seen this past election,” Flynt writes. “That says something now, doesn’t it?”

Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu questioned in corruption probe...

http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/02/world/israel-netanyahu-investigation/index.html

Jerusalem (CNN)Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was interrogated Monday night on suspicion of corruption in a criminal investigation authorized by the nation's attorney general.
Netanyahu is suspected of having received benefits from businessmen, according to Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.

Netanyahu was questioned "under caution on the suspicions of receiving benefits," said Rosenfeld.
The term "under caution" refers to the questioning of someone suspected of having committed a crime, with the warning that anything they say or decline to talk about could be used against them in court proceedings.
Police and Mandelblit declined to release any further details of the three-hour questioning.

'There is nothing'

Netanyahu has repeatedly denied the allegations against him, saying they are politically motivated.
On New Year's Day, the Prime Minister posted on his Facebook page, "Unfortunately you'll have to be disappointed this time as well, like you were disappointed in previous affairs. As usual, there will not be anything because there is nothing. Try replacing the Prime Minister at the ballot box -- as is customary in a democracy."
Netanyahu was investigated by police amid allegations of fraud and breach of trust in the late 1990s during his first term. He was never indicted.
Netanyahu is in his fourth term. He has often had a combative relationship with the media, which have speculated for days about when the criminal investigation would officially begin and what it would entail.

Yair Lapid, a Knesset member who is one of the main political threats to Netanyahu, urged caution and a quick investigation.
"If two Prime Ministers in a row fall for corruption, it will be very difficult to rehabilitate the public's trust in government," Lapid said on Facebook, referencing Ehud Olmert, who served before Netanyahu and is now in prison for corruption. "At the same time, for the benefit of the State of Israel and the people of Israel, [the investigation] must be fast."

Investigation ongoing

Until now, the inquiry was an examination. It did not reach the level of a criminal investigation, and Netanyahu was not suspected of having committed a crime. That changed as a police car pulled into his residence on Monday night, marking the beginning of the criminal investigation.
The inquiry into Netanyahu began in mid-July, the attorney general said. But the specific accusation that led to the criminal investigation surfaced three months ago. Police investigators searched for the evidence to support the suspicion, and last month, found the evidence to warrant an investigation.
Mandelblit would not elaborate on what the suspected crime was, instead ruling out any link to investigations that have since been dismissed. Those include two issues related to the 2009 elections and primaries, and two issues related to receiving flights and benefits overseas.
Netanyahu does not have to step down if he is suspected of committing a crime. He is only required to step down if he is convicted and that conviction is upheld by Israel's high court. However, if he is indicted, he could face enormous public and political pressure to step down.
Other Israeli prime ministers have been investigated, including Ariel Sharon, Ehud Barak and Olmert.

How will Trump patch up his relationship with the Intelligence Community after he's continually trashed them and shows no confidence in their work???

Trump and the Republicans have no plan to replace Obamacare!!! The Republicans have had YEARS to come up with a plan and they STILL don't have one. Republicans have done everything they could in order to make the Obamacare fail. No law is perfect and normally fixes are made but the Republicans have only wanted to destroy Obamacare.

The crazy thing is that MOST of the people who depend on Obamacare are Trump Voters!!! This is the hidden fact the Republicans have never admitted. Red States TAKE more from Federal Assistance than they pay in Taxes. It's the Blue States that pay more than they take out of the system!!!

Just curious if this can be considered a hate crime or just a couple of young people being stupid?

This is the kind of thing that a guy Rush Limbaugh uses to try and make it seem like an equal amount of racial injustice goes on in this country. Just remember that they Burned an entire Black city because of a rumor that a Black man touched a white woman in an Elevator! For most of the history of this country that has been the way things were done.

No one should be attacked simply because of their race or religion but let's not only get outraged when it happens to someone of your own race. IMO Trump inflamed the Racial Tensions in this country with his rhetoric. He was warned to stop but he kept on doing it.

Absolutely agree... We should care when it happened with any human being regardless of arbitrary group.
Isn't any crime against physical and mental well being of any human being a hate crime?

So the thing this... creatures did is Trump fault?
Their attorney probably should use this argument in court.. may very well work.
