for the record, i'm bummed we didn't get Curry. I love players with smooth shots. It'll probably take a couple of years to develop an nba game, but he's going to be good. He really reminds me of Houston coming in (better defender tho)

I guess there aren't restrictions on paying for more than one pick. Houston brought a couple.

Good luck hiring a legit coach who will agree with him.

Why don't you and TMS go to Minny and "convince" him brooklyn style, first you better stop by MSG first because I think they are very happy with their picks too.

sorta disappointed we didn't get him but i never really thought we were gonna end up taking him even if he somehow slipped to us anyway... i'm satisfied w/the Jordan Hill pick tho... he was #3 on my wishlist... if Walsh can somehow make a trade to get Rubio who was also in my wishlist top 3, then i won't regret passing up Derozan at all... i think Rubio & Hill would be ideal additions to this team & fill both their main needs perfectly.

i think Derozan's gonna be a star but will take a year or 2 to get his bearings at the NBA level... he's gonna remind those fans of Vince in his younger days.

Hahn on the WFAN right now. Doesn't think Rubio may like the cold weather (his mother was concern) not putting much credence to Rubio to the Knicks because he understands that the Knicks aren't that high on Rubio as everyone assumed. Knicks feel he isn't a complete player. Thinks that the Knicks got the guy they wanted after Curry in Hill. Believes that the Knicks prepared themselves for Lee and Nate's departure. Sounds like Walsh is trying to improve defensively first.

I'm really bummed that we didn't get Curry; I think he legitimately wanted to be a Knick and that's kinda rare.

And I feel like some teams picked players that they hoped other teams would want to trade for (Suns, Wolves <- WTF?) and now they aren't trading. Should be an interesting summer of trades.

At the time Hahn talked to Walsh, Walsh was probably comparing Curry to Rubio. I eventually came around to thinking that Curry was wanted more than Rubio because of his shooting ability- which is important in MDA's system. I don't think that means they would not settle for Rubio, even though they would rather have Curry.

When somebody can give me a way that Minny can/will use 2 low lottery picks who play the same position (Two of the purest PGs in the draft, I might add.), I may believe that both will end up remaining in Minny... BUT don't tell me that Rubio will be a PG, and Flynn a SG, which is what Kahn supposedly said, because that is sheer stupidity, and I cannot see any coach preferring that as his lineup.

I have to think that one of them is going to be traded. Something is going on.

I also feel the same way about GS. Curry and Ellis in the same backcourt makes no sense, especially if you have teams like LA and Portland, and others with a big SGs. Hell, Sacramento now has Evans and Martin, and OKC has Westbrook and Harden. Going to be a lot of posting up on Curry or Ellis by big guards, and a backcourt with Rubio or Flynn at the 2 will face the same problem. Did GS draft Curry to come off the bench like his dad? Picking him makes no sense to me. DeRozan, T.William, and maybe Hill would have made sense, but not Curry- unless they plan on making some trades.

Josh Heytvelt is still available?

He was never drafted. If we liked him at all we can sign him.

Neither was Christmas.

I would give both of them a tryout if it is possible in terms of roster slots.

This draft sucked. Worse than last year, if possible.

Guess I got to go with the "hope I'm wrong" feeling again. Damn, when are we ever going to be legitimately excited around here?

This draft sucked because it was supposed to suck. If you weren't paying attention, this was one of the weakest draft classes in recent memory.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
