Dwight was wrong, great players DEMAND the rock.

SVG conf finals. His team grew up.

Marbury looked jumpy and awful at times.

KG got a bad knee. This team might not have won last year, but with Jefferson and the picks they might have had a better future.

Starphuching has its downside.

when u win a title by starphuching anything that happens after doesn't make much of a difference... i'm sure Ainge would do what he did all over again today.

complaints:

- shard lewis deal sucks. way overpaid. stupid magic.
- svg ain't gonna get you over the hump.

what i see since signing shard and svg:

52-30, makes the 2nd round
59-23, looking like they'll make the ECF

- yeah...but they'll never win a title...

puh-lease. the team is winning crazy games...winning many post season games...and is giving their fanbase a team to get behind. it's not always title or bust. only the lucky few get to challenge for the title, with luck being the operative word.

Shard Lewis is way overpaid, ur just being obtuse if you don't agree w/that... dude is not worth $20 mil per, sorry.

but you're looking at it like an accountant...but you are asain...

It's easy for you to talk about the future because you've experienced the joy of seeing one before. I'll take 10 years of "not so bright" for a title in the next 2-3 years. Shoot, not so bright is what we got anyway.

Also, Jefferson went down with a knee injury this year. The Celtics pulled off what every team wants to do: make a few trades and win the whole thing. Riley did it too.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

it's got nothing to do w/my tax computing abilities (bitch ) ... what happens if Dwight asks out of Orlando & demands a trade? they're gonna be stuck w/the worst contract in the NBA for the next 4 years & very limited options going forward... if this Magic team doesn't win a championship do u think it was worth the $100 million dollar investment their owner put into Rashard Lewis' contract? u seriously think he's recouping that much money in ticket sales over the next 4 years because he signed up Rashard Lewis? dude is not a box office draw & he's not an elite talent, not by a very long shot... they could have easily signed up another 17 ppg 1 dimensional shooter for less than half the dollars they signed Shard to... IMO that deal is even worse than the one the Knicks signed Allan Houston to... at least Allan was able to be a bigtime player for the Knicks in playoff series & played a vital role in getting them to a Finals... Rashard's gonna have to step up & do something special in the next series vs. the Cavs if he wants to even begin to validate that type of investment.

Dwight Howard and the Magic backed up their words! YEah! They did grow up a lot in this series but they still need to rely more on Howard. The guy is capable of getting 20-20-5 every game so you might use that to your advantage and run more plays for him.

It will be a very interesting conference finals. The Lakers need to step up their play because the Nuggets are for real. The Cavs better get ready because if the Magic are indeed now poised and focused, it may be the first real competition they get this playoffs.

i bet Stern is salivating right now over the prospect of Dwight vs. Lebron, followed by either Dwight or Lebron vs. either Kobe or Melo in the Finals.

Probably, but I think he is a lil nervous his dream Lakers-Cavs Finals may not happen.

I agree; you gotta go for the title. If KG has a full return, they can compete for a title for a couple more years IMO. Rondo will become a bigger and bigger part of their run and will be a key part of their long-term plans. Even if the Celtics traded away much of their youth, their current roster still has a brighter long-term future than we do just because I'd take Rondo over anyone we have.

and howard had 9 shots this game, but he is happy now, so his 'i need more shots' stunt was obviously frivolous.

They won, so he is happy, but Im sure he still has a problem with only 9 shots.

This will be a continuing story rather than a thing of a game or two.

It would come across as a terrible, "me first" attitude to *publicly* complain about your number of shots in the game in which your team won the series. I wouldn't make anything out of the fact that he didn't speak publicly about the topic.

steph has a losing brain and this destroyed the boston club house, it is possible that this negative influence weakend KG's brain and made him more susceptible to injury.
