The 82 game season for us was segmented by a strong start but a mid eyar swoon of 2-9 that required a readjustment of atttitude and Brown taking control back. "Do your ****ing Job" was a very telling statemnet that perhaps in time we'll get more clarity of the lockeroom.
Out west Minny underperformed given its very on paper roster. Again, parity created seedings that are not always accurate.
Denver firing Malone BEFORE The playoffs last year proved to be a good move for them. What Nuggs did this year backfired. To save money they moved from Michael Porter and cam Johnson had a bad season. They paid Braun who has played just 44 games this year and fell back some. his 3pt % was awful. I think he'll be ok going foward.
Then there was Aaron Gordon who played just 36 games this year and gave it a good try for three games but was hurting. He really has become a very important part of the formula that perhaps would have freed up Cam Johnson (Played 54 games).
One might say Denver had a great season record wise given the injuries. Jamal Murray did have his best season as a pro to counter and that mattered!
Denver needed to cut salaries and it hurt the depth. Perhaps considering it all its not a suprise they got beat but given Minny's injuries it is.

Maybe Jules has finally overcome the one bad series vs. ATL 5 years ago? He had a very good series and his team advanced!

I'm happy for Jules and hope DDV makes a speedy recovery. I doubt MIN will be able to re-sign Ayo but I'm happy for him and his soon-to-be bank account. But there is no excuse losing to a team THAT depleted. They have Jokic who seems like he has to do everything on that team to barely be competitive. All of this is why I've never been a believer in Jamal Murray and view him as one of the most overrated players in the league. He has the easiest job in the league as a co-star, yet has terribly off games.

At carolina they are hiring pro coaches for football and Basketball and also contimplating a new arena off central campus vs. embedded Dean Smith Arena smack in the middle of campus. Its. freaking nightmare to get in and out of there unless your on campus for students. I stopped going to games years ago as it can take 2 hours to get out of a fooball game if you drive. best way is to part outside and take a shuttle bus.

Cameron Arena is also smack in the middle of campus and only seats 5k. Its a hell of place to see a game. Its a great campus and Durham has become a really nice town over the last 15 years. Downtown im talking about. Place was a crime ridden **** hole before central North Carolina took on a massive population boom. They profited from Raleigh, and given the Tech companies in the reseasrch triangle are north of Raleigh the spill over to Durham was inevitable.
growth of region on interstate 85/40 extends all the way to Greensboro as well. That town is getting a second life as an aviation hub with Honda Jet, Boom, and JetZero all to make new innovative aircraft!

Nalod moved to the Carolinas 40 years ago and seen the massive growth in Charlotte, Triangle and Triad regions. Its been a lovely place!

As a college basketball state with the big three in Triangle (Chapel Hill, NC State, UNC) its rich history and rivarly are really something. Wake Forest and NC State have not kept up in some time. The ACC moved from Greensboro to Charlotte (headquarters) and now has teams from California in the conference. The times they are a changing!

What I never understood is how teams with generationally great passers love to get high on their own supply by signing guys to big contracts who are on the receiving end of great passes. Case in point, Denver rerostered Bruce Brown at the minimum fresh after coming off a two year 45 million contract he couldn't live up to without Jokic while at the same time signing Braun to a massive deal when he's just a slightly better version.

Denver has been doing this for years. Murray and MPJ aren't max players. Nnaji shouldn't be signed to a 32 million 4 year deal after averaging 5 points a game. Denver, like Milwaukee, is in this position because despite having a one in a billion basketball god, they employed ignoramus front offices.
