The Spurs are having a great offseason. Blair can play limited minutes for them and will do great.

Minns one of the only teams in the NBA that have so few long-term deals that Mobleys contract wouldnt impress them.

Still, a Wilson deal might do it. Even an Al Harrington deal might work, because hes an expiring and theyre under the cap.

Fingers crossed.

B-/B night for us tonight. Not what I wanted but not terrible.

-- We got a 6'10" big who can play and is a lot more skilled than people are giving him credit for. Hill outplayed Cole Aldrich so badly in a game I saw that Aldrich made the choice to go back to Kansas shortly thereafter. He's big, physical and he can rebound and score inside and with a good-looking mid-range jumper.

-- We traded Q for Darko and added a legit center who's still young. Good trade.

-- Toney Douglas is a quick little combo that can score, looks to be on par with a Jack McClinton though I can't really comment as I can't remember watching play. Better players on the board though so I'd have to say I'm down on this pick. We could've gotten a steal with either Blair or Young. Even a solid PG, Patrick Mills, and some quality SF prospects were still around like Summers & Brown. Weird selection made by Walsh but we'll have to wait and see on this...

Any chance to buy another late pick? We're at 40 and Mills and Budinger are still in play.

Nice move by the Rockets. Taylor is a sleeper pick who could have gone in the first round.

i disagree because Mobley's deal will be paid mostly by insurance, so a savings of about $7-8 million bucks is a significant thing to trade for in this current economy.

I like Derrick Brown. Great value pick. We should buy a 2nd round pick.

I can't believe Buddinger is still available. He seems like a great fit for the Knicks system. I hope Walsh buys a pick.

Is it just me, or does Meeks look like a real player?

We gotta buy a pick. Both these guys should have been late first rounders.

Raps take DeRozan.

Loving Holiday and Jennings dropping like evil-smilling rocks.

Ty Lawson before both of 'em!

FAIL

Almost fail, but not quite. Holiday indeed dropped like a rock. Ah, and Lawson and Jrue were one after the next. I have not covered my family in shame. Not like that time in the trailer park when I was alone and almost rocked the trailer off its wheels

Alot of idiot GM's let Thad Young slip to the Sixers as well.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

They could reshow the Dickie V. commentary every year and just insert different names. He needs to freshen up his act.

Fair enough. Best deal for us IMO would be Special Nate and Cats deal for Rubio and whatever. Minn can do their whole Microwave thing and save oodles too. Still dont think itll happen. Best chance we have is some part of a larger, even 3-way deal involving Lee, Cat and Douglas.

Great pick by Dumars. Budinger is going to be a good pro for along time.

Heres the thing though. I LOVE Rubio and think he can be a bigtime player in the league, but if you asked me today for Wilson? I would want more then just Ricky Rubio. And this is from a big Rubio fan.

I agree something is off. ESPN heads are talking about a Flynn, Rubio backcourt, but thats just idiotic and theyre saying it cuz they have just a little idea what the f%$^& is going on with Minn then everyone else.

Lets look

Foye
Rubio
Flynn
Mike Miller
Bassy

So, lets say they only want to keep Foye and Miller from the status quo. They move Miller to the 3, and that leaves one starting spot, at SGish. Move Foye to SG, you got space for one PG. One of Flynn and Rubio MUST be gone. Doesnt mean to us though. Looks to me we've given up with the Douglas pick. Hope Im wrong though.

Mike Miller was included in the trade to WAS... that means they're in need of a wing player... the Knicks are in need of a PG to run their offense & they have a wing player to spare in Wilson Chandler... the draft of Toney Douglas may have been made to give Min a suitable backup for Flynn.

They still have Bassy to cover Flynn. And for Wilson I would also ask for one of Brewer, Carney or a pick next year plus Rubio. I would absolutely LOVE to pick up Rubio, Ive just given up. S'ok, we have other irons in the fire.

maybe Mobley's contract comes into the equation here too, who knows... we can take an expiring off their hands like Brian Cardinal & maybe Brewer since he's been sort of a disappointment for MIN & still get Rubio in that deal IMHO.

Before I leave:

Flynn and Rubio as side to side lottery picks makes no sense at all. If anyone with high level BB experience can tell me how you would play those guys together, please enlighten me.

Rubio or Flynn would have trouble guarding a SG if they play together. Rubio cannot shoot yet, so you are not going to have him come off screens for jumpers as a SG, so he would have to be the PG if they play together. If Flynn is at SG, they are going to eat him alive down low; if Rubio is there he is going to be muscled and probably foul out. If you think you are going to play Flynn at SG, and play some SG, you are talking about another Nate, with a worse outside shot.

None of this works for me. If it does, can someone eplain how??

Walsh has a relationship with the Minny GM, and this means something- to me, anyway.

Either something is going on trade wise (not necessarily NY, by the way) or the Minny GM has some issues.

We will see.
