It's only one game. I just don't get how everyone completely wrote off Lin the second he went to Houston. When the same people were gushing over linsanity

I dont think people wrote him off as soon as he got to Hou. People wrote him off based on his horrible play throughout this season. He has been mostly awful. Not really disputable. There are a lot of games left so maybe he can turn it around.

writing him off is as dumb as crowning Felton this early in the season

Except Felton has been substantially better than Lin and I have not crowned Felton at any point this season. Lin has been horrid, imo. Perhaps this game will be a launchpad for him.

This is basically Lin's rookie or at most sophomore season. He's never played with a ball-dominant back-court member and needs more than one-fourth of a season to work it out.

Lin is not remotely a rookie. Stop this bullcrap.

Won't see too many games like this from the Spurs. 19 turnovers is what killed them. Tim Duncan 1-9 ... I don't think I ever seen him have such a horrible shooting night.

Harden should be the spot up option if they want one of them to play that role. Lin plays better in rhythm. Harden can score anywhere, any way and still have the offense run through him at times.

Good luck building your team around that.

I was just comparing PG numbers not head to head defending.

3 years, $8 mil is not something you build your team "around." At most, it's a player you build "with." Harden plus whatever remaining max contract FA(s) they get are who they're building around.

Well if the notion is as MSG3 suggests, that he has to have the ball AI or Billups style with the green light to score all game, then you are building around that player. I don't care if he is making the vet minimum, you are telling other guys to change there game for him, then he is the Alpha-dog.

And to that I say, Good Luck.

Is it simply co-incidence that Lin shows up on the night that Harden can't play? More to come....maybe.

obviously he's going to have to find a middle ground between what he was doing when playing with Harden and the complete green light he had tonight. He has the intelligence and the talent to figure it out with time.

He is a fame whore. We saw it here. Does not like sharing the spot light. (Maybe) He will learn.

He is talented though.

seems like you are grasping at straws to convince yourself that letting him go was the right move. I understand that. I wish I could do the same

Yeah, I think the problem is the exact opposite - he's been a bit too unselfish when Harden is on the court.

How can you not like this kid? Very humble and does not throw anybody under the bus. Takes accountability.

I thought PG's are supposed to make their teammates better.

Lin is such a ball hog and a chucker.

What about Felton? He's taking far more shots than Lin and hitting at a slightly lower rate.

Lin could have easily had 15 assists tonight. Asik, Parsons, Delfino, Patterson and Morris all missed open shots. A lot are even layups.

IT is pretty simple, from gallo to lin, for some knick fans they must fail in order to validate the knicks moves and direction... it isn't good enough that the knicks are playing well, but these kids must fail.. the problem is they are very talented and have been proving so... I like these kids and I wish them the best, they are both on young rising teams that have the flexibility and picks(thanks to us in part) to build a winner.... Lin is a great kid, smart kid and talented, guys like that usually are successful. I find the contempt for these kids by some around here completely ridiculous and disgusting.. just goes to show the low standards some set..we will welcome low IQ douchebags to the team as long as they wear knick uniforms.. sorry, I just won't sell my soul for that....
