He was the leading scorer in the ACC and Defensive POY...that should help

Yup.. definitely a two-way player which should make guys like Pharz and Mck1 happy

Very much. I know it is a disappointment to you Rubians with this orgy fest going on in here. LOL, you guys can never complain about Briggs anymore.

Toney Douglas. So no Minn trades then.

He is not really a PG. They talk about him as being a Gordon type guard.

If thats what they want to do with TD, he will fail IMO. Gordon is the exception not the rule. 6'2 shooting guards with questionable athleticism do not make it in the NBA. See long litany of crap nobodies inc. Salim, Roberson.

And TMS, cant see Douglas being a part of a deal for Rubio. Say what you want about Ricky, hes in a different league then DOuglas.
.

Some of us are just trying to figure out why a team would draft two classic PGs in the same draft back to back.

I just think something is going on.

Heres the thing though. I LOVE Rubio and think he can be a bigtime player in the league, but if you asked me today for Wilson? I would want more then just Ricky Rubio. And this is from a big Rubio fan.

I agree something is off. ESPN heads are talking about a Flynn, Rubio backcourt, but thats just idiotic and theyre saying it cuz they have just a little idea what the f%$^& is going on with Minn then everyone else.

Lets look

Foye
Rubio
Flynn
Mike Miller
Bassy

So, lets say they only want to keep Foye and Miller from the status quo. They move Miller to the 3, and that leaves one starting spot, at SGish. Move Foye to SG, you got space for one PG. One of Flynn and Rubio MUST be gone. Doesnt mean to us though. Looks to me we've given up with the Douglas pick. Hope Im wrong though.

Hey, when someone starts making 3 threads a day about a guy, then you can say they can't complain about Briggs.

I'm liking the Douglas pick.

Mike Miller was included in the trade to WAS... that means they're in need of a wing player... the Knicks are in need of a PG to run their offense & they have a wing player to spare in Wilson Chandler... the draft of Toney Douglas may have been made to give Min a suitable backup for Flynn.

Argh totally forgot about that trade. Please ignore my utterly flawed and preposterous post (now try saying THAT 10 times fast).

They still have Bassy to cover Flynn. And for Wilson I would also ask for one of Brewer, Carney or a pick next year plus Rubio. I would absolutely LOVE to pick up Rubio, Ive just given up. S'ok, we have other irons in the fire.

FAIL

Almost fail, but not quite. Holiday indeed dropped like a rock. Ah, and Lawson and Jrue were one after the next. I have not covered my family in shame. Not like that time in the trailer park when I was alone and almost rocked the trailer off its wheels

maybe Mobley's contract comes into the equation here too, who knows... we can take an expiring off their hands like Brian Cardinal & maybe Brewer since he's been sort of a disappointment for MIN & still get Rubio in that deal IMHO.

Well there goes Sam Young. I really think he woulda been a great fit here with the Knicks. Grizzlies will be lucky to have him.

That is an amazing pick at 36. Young is going to be one of the biggest steals in the draft.
