we need to get as much value out of our players as possible -> get as many draft picks as we can -> try to use the bulls' philosophy and build around talented guys who have been at winning programs, and eventually get enough studs to become a balanced, good team that does not have significant FLAWS

If this thread ain't the definition of a 'positive attitude', I don't know what is. I was hoping for a win, but can anyone say they're honestly surprised we lost this? It's the second game of a back to back, we're terrible on the road, and we could very well be looking at the Eastern Conference Champs.
I'm all ready for the next game, praying that we'll start seeing 30+ minute games from Ariza and Sweetney before the season ends.

I'm surprised we even took them into overtime once. Of course I want the knicks to win but the heat are the best team in the east. Its one thing to come back from 19 and beat the sixers, a team of our same caliber, but when its a team with allstars like the heat or a team like the spurs, you cant make a run and expect them not to answer. Especially coming from 10 behind.
What makes those teams great is they capitalize on every posession we mess up regardless of whether they have the lead or not. What we've done over and over is relax and take our leads for granted (ex last seattle & miami games.)
having said that...I hope we have a good game against the spurs, thats all i'm asking for a great effort and if we win against them its a plus.

THANK YOU! it's nice to see someone on this board knows it's not just the coach's fault or a single player's fault that they lost the game tonight...i can run off a list of players that didn't do the job tonight just by looking at the boxscore...those 30's next to Shaq & Wade's names tells me the Knicks were just completely outmatched tonight, bottomline.

Ariza, Penny & JYD all had pretty damn horrible statlines themselves from the looks of it...

& look at this statline of Crawford, TT & KT combined:

14 of 39 shooting from 3 of your key players won't win you many ballgames.

yet some people are still blaming Sweetney who only played 22mins and put up 10 & 7!

what stats don't show you is how badly we need a perimeter defender preferably one who is 6'5+ and a Center!

And the reason we don't have a perimieter defender or a center is all because of Mo Taylor...Baker and Moochie fit that mold!!!!!

just kidding...actually, I agree, we need a true C and at the very least a two way type of guard, but what's weird is that we had both of those this season before we bought out Shandon and before we traded Nazr...and they didn't do us any good then...

Thats cause Mohammed was a stiff, and anderson was just well shanderson, i'm sure we all want good centers and good perimeter defenders.

shandon is a bum but would've actually helped us at critical times during a game. Nazr just isn't a starting center I'm sorry. I'm not even sure if he's a real Center! he did nothing for our defense! our defense was actually worse with him on the team!

I played basketball with my friend today, came home, put the Knicks game on, layed down for awhile cause I was exhausted. I don't even remember falling asleep, b/c I don't even remember the start of the game, and when I woke up, the Knicks were down freaking a million with like, a few minutes to go in the 4th. I take full responsibility for this loss. That, and Mo T is the worst human being on the face of the planet and Herb Williams is a waste of space. Plus, Mike Sweetney did a bad job on Shaq. I mean really, how dare he let Shaq score down low. I mean really, why can't he just be like Wilt Chamlerlin for once.

nice to hear someone who actuslly watched some of the game comment. anyone who says Taylor only played 12mins and is not a scapegoat didn't watch the 6mins minutes per half Taylor played over Sweetney and the lead went to 18 twice with 1-2mins of him comming into the game!

I was being sarcastic my friend. Really really sarcastic. I have no clue why we lost, b/c I fell asleep. I am watching the beginning of the rewind and I see Eddie Jones is freaking lighting it up. Why didn't he get credit for the win?

Guns....it's not like Taylor was playing 1 on 5 against the Heat...there were 4 other Knicks on the floor...I watched the game and the lead went from 10 to 18 in 2 minuts about 3 or 4 times in the second half alone!
